Josh had to go to his locker before lunch. This was always a harrowing time for him. There was safety in numbers, so Josh, Kyle, and Minh tried to stick together. The only time was when going to lockers. Josh was assigned a locker far from his two friends. That wasn't the worst part; the worst part was that his locker was between the two worst bullies in the school, Dino and Craig. What made it absolutely horrible was where the lockers were located. Three lockers set off in an alcove and out of view of everyone.

Dino and Craig were nihilistic druggies. Being bullied by these two was worse than being bullied by popular kids. The popular kids had limits. Go too far, and it could tarnish their reputation. Dino and Craig didn't have that worry. It hadn't been too bad this year because Craig managed to get suspended on his second day of school, but today he was back. Josh requested to move his locker, but the school didn't have additional space.

"Escort me to my locker?" Josh hears himself ask. Yeah, that's it, he thinks. Dino and Craig wouldn't dare bully him if he hung out with one of the most popular girls in school.

"Sure," Tanya says even though her locker was in the opposite direction.

Chad watches as Tanya leaves the room with Josh. He turns to talk to McKenzie, but she's on her way out with Kyle, once again bothering him about hentai.

"Wow, man," Chad's friend Scott says. "McKenzie and Tanya are taking this 'use the losers' thing a little bit far, aren't they?" The two girls spending an increasing amount of time with the Losers Club was unbelievable to the popular students so that theory started to stick. They were doing it for the grades.

Chad simply grunts. "Yeah, but Tanya won't be for long."
