Escape through the back

You can't risk staying in a building that's about to be set ablaze. It's not likely that the orc is sharp or scheming enough to try and trick you like this. You push yourself out of the hay and run for the back door. The lock is rusted, but with enough **** and time, you manage to pry it open. You stumble into an alley behind the barn. The narrow alley is located between the barn and an adjacent house, which provides enough cover to keep you hidden from the invaders.

Your heart is beating fast. You can see the forest in the distance from the alleyway. If you run for it now, you'll be able to escape under into the cover of the forest. You also spot an open window on the house next to you. You could probably hide in the house awhile longer and think of another way to make it out of this alive.

Running in a long skirt would be risky, but staying amongst all the chaos and fire seems just as risky. Take a chance and run or take a chance and hide?
