“Who the hell is that,” Erica demanded, arms crossed beneath her breasts, “and why the hell are you wearing lip gloss?”

It was understandable that Erica would be upset. David was, after all, an hour late. She’d never been the most patient woman, but this time David had really let her down and had earned her ire. Being the only one of them who owned a car, David had promised to take her grocery shopping that morning, the kind of mundane task that a boyfriend does that earns their place in the heart of their lover.

“This is The Amazing Alex,” David said, “He’s the hypnotist I saw last night. He’s really incredible.”

“He could be the King of England for all I care,” she said, not impressed, “he still won’t get me my groceries before I have to start cooking for my parent’s visit tonight. And you didn’t answer me about your lips what gives?”

David had no idea what she was talking about. Why wouldn’t he be wearing lip gloss? Was this some kind of prank? Was she trying to embarrass him in front of his new friend?

“Erica,” David said in hushed tones, “I don’t know what you’re going on about. But listen, just give him a chance. We can get the groceries, but The Amazing Alex is, well, amazing!”

Erica’s eyebrow went up and she turned to the hypnotist.

“Did you do something to him,” she accused, stepping forward, poking him in the chest, “did you scree with his mind? Do I need to call the cops?”

The Amazing Alex chuckled, then did his strange mumbling. David watched as all the tension left Erica’s face. Good. There was no reason for her to be so wound up. They could work it out.

Erica turned to David.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were bringing your friend?” She smiled as she asked, “It’s not every day we get an important guest like The Amazing Alex! We should make him feel like he’s home!”

Quickly, David and Erica ushered the hypnotist in, sat him on the couch, and placed a cold beer in his hand. They both stood before him, eagerly watching him enjoy the drink.

“David, my boy,” The Amazing Alex said after a long swig, “you didn’t tell me that Erica was so fetching. How did a boy like you land a woman like her?”

David blushed at the implication. Was he not man enough for his girlfriend?

“David’s a wonderful man,” Erica came to his defence, “he’s always treated me well, always been there for me.”

“Has he really?” The Amazing Alex asked, leaned forward and mumbled, then, “David, why don’t you show Erica your new purchase?”

David thought this was a fantastic idea. His new bra and panties set would easily put to ease any question about whether or not he was man enough for his Erica. Once she saw it, all doubt would leave her mind. Quickly, he kicked off his shoes, slid his pants down, and tossed his shirt aside, leaving him in nothing but his new underwear.

“What in the world?” Erica’s eyes went wide, “are you some sort crossdresser? Is this your way of coming out to me?”

David was once again confused. Crossdresser? Couldn’t she see the black lacy panties and bra he was wearing? What more did he have to do to show her that he was a man?!

Before he could defend himself, though, The Amazing Alex put his empty beer bottle on the coffee table and mumbled.
