Eren Jaeger

(All characters are above the age of 18 for this story's sake.)

Eren Jaeger grunted to himself, having been assigned to cleaning duty by Shadis after he had been caught in a scuffle with Jean, who was also punished by having to clean the stables, which was just hilarious.

Sighing, he wiped the sweat off his forehead and went to go take a breather for a couple of minutes. He noticed something glinting in the corner of his eyes and went to investigate. There he saw,

"Earrings?" He spoke out in surprise.

He knelt down and picked up the pieces of golden jewelry, staring at them with confusion.

"Does this belong to someone? Why are there earrings in the kitchen of all places?"

As far as he could remember, Eren never saw a single soldier wear any kind of jewelry on their person. At best, it was distracting, at worst, it could get you killed. Only the rich bastards and nobles wore this kind of stuff, so it baffled him to see it here of all places.

"Maybe I should get this to the Commander, see if it belongs to anyone..."

"Why did I put this on?" Those were Eren's thoughts as he went back to cleaning the dishes.He didn't know exactly why, but he felt something compel him to put on the earrings and he couldn't refuse it. It was dumb, it looked stupid on him, for wall's sake! He can already see the dumb comments from Jean and the laughs from Connie.

The door swung open, revealing Sasha and Annie carrying a crate, probably the next month's rations. Both ladies settled it down right next to Eren, with Sasha letting out a sigh of relief.

"Man, that was heavy. Thanks, Annie." Potato Girl smiled at the blonde with gratitude.

As always, Annie was cold as snow and simply nodded at her fellow cadet. Sasha wasn't all too bothered by it and decided to greet their resident Titan hater.

"Hey, Eren. So, how's dishwashing duty?"

"I'll live, because in the end, I won since Jean has to spend cleaning up after his relatives down the stable."

Sasha let out a short guffaw, with Annie even smirking the tiniest bit. "Yeah, it's hilarious! We actually passed by Jean, and you should've seen it! The horses refused to stop messing with him, they constantly spray out hay everywhere!"

Eren could only smirk, wiping the bowls dry. "Man, I can only imagine. I wish I could see that now."

"Yep! Well, me and Annie are gonna head off. See ya, tomorrow!"

Eren raised a brow as he finally finished all of the dishes, turning to face the two females. "Wait, you two don't have any sort of comment about my looks right now?" He questioned. There was no way they were just going to blatantly ignore the golden earrings hanging off his ears.

Annie and Sasha turned to each other before turning back to him, the former responding. "Yeah. You look cute in an apron."

No other words were said as the both of them exited the kitchen, leaving Eren completely confused and dumbfounded. They didn't notice it? But how, and why?

Eren shook off these questions and decided to head back as well. He'll think over it after some shut eye.
