Episode 5- The Fair

Keira and Kat were walking through a crowded parking lot approaching a gate. Dozens of others were funneling towards the gate. Beyond the entrance there was a large ferris wheel rising overhead.

"I can't believe we're wasting a Saturday going to the fair." Keira shook her head.

"Hey, you owe me." Kat said. "On your birthday I took you out to that super fancy French restaurant. Now for my birthday we're doing what I want to do. And I want to ride some rides, drink some beers, play some games and eat some fried food!"

"You're such a philistine." Keira chided.

Kat rolled her eyes at her snobby sister. They reached the entrance.

"Two tickets for the fair please!" Kat said excitedly.

"And how old is she?" The employee gestured at Keira. "Kids get in for half price today."

Keira instantly blushed furiously. She hated when this happened! Even with heavy makeup, a British accent and the best clothes money could buy, she was still occasionally thought to be younger than she was. She got carded at every bar and people always thought she was younger than Kat, despite Keira being six years older! No one had mistaken her for a child in quite sometime though. She cursed herself for wearing sneakers instead of high heels, but she'd known she'd be on her feet all day.

"Um, actually..." Keira started to speak up, but Kat cut her off.

"Yes, one adult and one child." Kat said, handing over the cash.

"What?! But... but..." Keira stammered.

"Hey, it's saving 20 bucks!" Kat whispered to her sister.

The cashier took the money.

"Arms out." He said. Kat and reluctantly Keira stuck out their arms. The cashier put a blue wristband on Kat and a yellow one on Keira. Looking around Keira realized the yellow wristband was for children. With this on everyone would think she was a kid, just like this idiot!

"The child pass will get you a free cotton candy and a free ride on the teacups." He explained.

The audience laughed wildly at the mix-up.

"Thank you so much!" Kat said, grasping Keira's hand and yanking her into the fair...
