Epilogue Part 3

They soon arrived at the hospital in nearly a second to an outside observer, thanks to Mark’s powers. Katie had been pregnant with twins, a boy and a girl. Mark stood by her side, holding their daughter while she held their son.

“I think she has your eyes,” Katie whispered.

“And I think he has your nose,” Mark replied.

“Mark?”

“Yes?”

“I wouldn’t trade this for anything.”

“Me either.”

Mark and Katie then kissed each other while cuddling with their two babies.

“You know…” Mark suggested, “every girl needs a doll.”

“And every boy needs an action figure,” Katie added.

“I’ll ask Regina if she knows any suitable candidates.” Katie laughed at this softly. Mark bent down and kissed Katie once more.

“Well, there is Danica in the nursery,” Katie said, referring to Danica Morris, whom Mark had turned into a stand for a nanny camera. The honey blonde was dressed in scrubs from a Halloween store, a reference to the fact that she had wanted to become a nurse. Now she would watch over Mark and Katie’s kids.

“What no way. She’s ours. They're just borrowing her for now.” Katie laughed once more.

“Good point. You know, the nurse was pretty cute.”

It was Mark’s turn to laugh.

“Life was good,” Mark decided. “Life was very good.”
