Epilogue (Yoga class)

Yang and Ren participated in five lovemaking sessions before Ren’s encounter with Nora.

Once Pyrrha and Nora successfully eliminated Sun and Neptune in the doubles round of the Vytal tournament, Ren told Nora that he had a surprise waiting for them.

She was invited into the storeroom where ****, meat, fish and parched grain were prepared for them to enjoy. Flowers decorated the mood-lit room. The smell of food, incense and Ren’s perfume hinted that love was in the air.

Nora wondered how Ren prepared all of this by himself (he didn’t). Acting coy, Nora asked Ren what was the occasion for such a treat. Ren replies that there doesn’t need to be one.

Yang placed a hidden camera in the storeroom to record Ren and Nora’s blossoming love.Their conversation as dinner is served recounts how they managed to this far. They laugh over glasses of wine while remembering their hardships. Smooth jazz from Ren’s scroll creates an atmosphere for romance.

Nora comments on how great the sauce Ren made for the meat and fish is! Little does she know that a hidden ingredient to the sauce happens to be Ren’s seed. Yang was insistent that the meal be prepared with his essence to follow the tantric tradition.

Yang’s semblance evolved during a yoga session while she contemplated the nature of fire under the midday sun. Burning is the act of consumption- to take energy into yourself and expand your existence. Everything that Yang burns becomes an extension of her. Any energy that Yang consumes becomes hers.

Therefore, Yang’s hair can move according to her will while her evolved semblance is active as if it's an extra limb! In addition, anything that she touches with her hair can be bent to her will!

Yang uses her evolved semblance to make up for her severed right hand. Housework becomes much easier during her time of recovery! She practices sparring with her dad using her hair as a fist and a shield. Unfortunately, keeping her semblance active for hours is exhausting.

Good karma returned to Yang for her efforts in the Battle of Beacon to assist her. A shiny new cybernetic arm was shipped to Patch from Atlas! James Ironwood sent his regards. Yang told herself she will repay this token of gratitude one day. With her new arm and evolved semblance, Yang essentially had five limbs!

Yang travelled to Mistral in search of Raven soon after receiving Ironwood’s gift. A Branwen tribesman who sexually harassed her led Yang to the Branwen camp unintentionally.

Yang’s reunion with Raven did not start off well. Yang had been searching for answers most of her life but Raven treated meeting her as if it were a casual affair.

Yang maintained her cool, withholding the fact she planned on using Raven’s semblance to reunite with Qrow and Ruby later. Raven invited Yang inside her chambers for a chat.

Raven attempts to stall, nervously skirting around getting to the point of Yang’s quest. She is like a child failing at hiding her guilt before her parents. Yang cuts through her misdirection to ask her plainly why she left Patch.

Raven’s facade crumbles.

“I wasn’t ready… to be a mom or a huntsman for that matter…” Raven confesses.

Their conversation is cut short by a commotion outside- Weiss enlarged an Amour-Gigas summon to break out of her cage!

Yang explodes at Raven for taking Weiss captive! Her shouting could convince you that she was the adult in the room! She demands that Raven explains to herself in private!

Raven is **** into admitting that she is not a good person- everything Taiyang told Yang about her left out their life of stealing, killing and surviving in the Branwen tribe.

She pleads that being a huntsman was never going to work for her- the Branwen tribe expected her to return and lead them.

“Falling in love was a mistake!” Raven rants.

“Stop…” Yang interjects. “Do not say that mom. Taiyang’s love for you was not a mistake. I am not a ‘mistake’. Love is a choice,” Yang adds.

Having heard enough out of Raven, Yang respectfully asks for Raven to create a portal to reach Qrow. Raven hangs her head in shame. She offers Yang a warning before agreeing to send her and Weiss on their way:

Team RNJR’s adventures through Mistral become the main topic of discussion over dinner.

Nora jumps in, announcing that Ren proposed to her after heroically defeating the Nucklavee once they reached the capital of Mistral!

“I love weddings!” Weiss squeaks while clapping her hands.

“Goddamn! Congratulations!” Yang exclaims.

“Me and you need to talk a lot about the big day!” Nora replies cheerfully.

Yang looks over at Ren, unsure of what Nora meant. He smiles while shrugging his shoulders. Yang had to finish dinner before she could figure out why both Ren and Nora seemed so happy for her to be around.

Nora reveals that Ren told her Yang was partly responsible for preparing the night when they first made love! Nora wanted Yang to be her maid of honour. Ren would not have the courage to make a move without her!

Yang accepts the offer. Though she asks how much “preparation” did Ren tell her about.

Nora doesn’t follow where Yang is leading. Instead of hinting, Yang decides to be blunt.

Fate had intertwined Yang, Ren and Nora’s paths from the moment Raven left Patch.

Blake is reunited with Yang at Haven academy after narrowly winning a battle with Adam Taurus. Blake tried telling Sun not to chase Adam but they wouldn’t listen! He spent too long dealing with cases involving the White Fang during his second semester to let Adam escape! Without Blake’s back up as Adam lured him away, Sun definitely would have been killed.

Jaune and Ren are ecstatic to hear that Sun arrested Adam! The White Fang criminal operation which they investigated during their second semester is officially a closed case! They just wished Neptune were around to hear the news too!

Yang likewise feels a sense of closure knowing that Adam will no longer wreak havoc.

Blake and Yang make time to discuss any unresolved disputes they have since Blake left their team during the Fall of Beacon. Yang was mature enough to understand that Blake’s fear got the best of her. Blake also admits that not trusting Yang’s testimony following the incident with Mercury during the Vytal tournament was wrong.

Choosing not to linger on the past, Yang asks Blake about her relationship status with Sun. Blake blushes- while she appreciates everything Sun did for her when she ran away from Vale, they aren’t together. Yang responds that they should be!

Given Team RWBY’s plan of travelling to Atlas, Yang encourages Blake to at least give Sun a night to remember! Who knows when they will see each other again!

Blake takes Yang’s advice.

Blake and Sun kiss goodbye passionately before Team RWBY and co board Argus Limited. Meeting Neptune before they went was a great surprise for Ren and Jaune! The journey to Atlas was fraught with complications. But with an indomitable will and a stolen Atlas airship, they preserved!

Penny and the Ace Ops made for a strange welcoming wagon to Atlas. Being brought to Atlas academy in handcuffs is not how Yang imagined meeting Ironwood would play out…

Ironwood tells Team RWBY and co his reasoning behind closing Atlas’ borders, then lays out his plan for the Amity Project. His goal to destroy Salem was met with a lukewarm response.

Ruby attempted to withhold information from Ironwood about Ozpin and Salem’s immortality.

Yang would not stand for it.

No more lies. No more half truths.

Yang spilled the beans on everything they learned about Ozpin and Salem to Ironwood via the relic of knowledge.

Somehow, Ironwood took the news better than everyone expected. Restoring global telecommunications and telling the world about Salem remains his agenda. Ironwood was determined to protect Atlas and humanity as a whole with or without Ozpin’s leadership!

“Our greatest weapon against Salem is trust. Salem wants us to turn on each other. We have to work together as a team. Speaking of teams, JNPR has been missing a member for quite some time now. How would you like Penny to join your team?” Ironwood says.

Janue, Nora and Ren’s jaws drop! The answer is a unanimous yes!

Ironwood’s decision to assign Penny to Team JNPR wasn’t purely for their benefit however. Penny was essentially a living surveillance camera. If Team RWBY and co ever try to operate behind his back (such as withholding important information), he will know.

Team RWBY and the revived Team JNPR would receive their official huntsmen licences after clearing an abandoned dust mine. Nora used this time to announce the date of her wedding!

Team RWBY and co had the option of staying in Atlas academy for accommodation but instead chose to rent apartments in Atlas. Ren and Nora needed their privacy.

Yang rented the apartment next to them- it took a while to explain to friends and family her reason why. They all accepted that she was in a polyamorous relationship without any issues. She had plans to move in with Ren and Nora at a new apartment soon after their wedding.

Yang walked with Nora down the aisle as her maid of honour. The reception was considered a high profile event around Atlas due to the presence of General Ironwood and the Schnee family. Weiss bawls as Here Comes the Bride began to play!
