Epilogue: The mess left behind

Kate rushed over to help Lucy once the shock had worn off. Someone else found a towel, and Lucy ran off to her bedroom.

Eventually, Cassy coaxed her back out.

Everyone was still waiting to liven up her mood, so she told them the whole story. They all had a good laugh about it.

Friends played games deep into the night, and Lucy may have gotten a little **** on Cassy as the blonde girl went home without any underwear.

Lucy woke up groggy the following day and had to throw some clothes on before she was late to work. A green pair of pants and a loose white shirt would do.

The air was still dense with humidity from all the rain when she rushed out the door.

She dashed through the diner doors to meet a waiting Steph.

"Oh good, you're here," Steph addressed. "Hope you had fun yesterday."

"Steph! You're the whole reason-" Lucy shouted

The pink-haired manager cut Lucy off, "The owner came by to check on things after the storms. They weren't too happy with the state of the back."

Lucy wasn't sure how to defend herself.

"Wet clothes strewn around, water all over the floor, including the carpet in the office, flour everywhere, and someone's phone and wallet," Steph listed. "Your phone and wallet."

"But Steph, this is all because you locked my jeans in the office. I'm not responsible for this."

"I'm aware I'm also at fault here, but what you left behind goes a little beyond what I did. You're lucky I convinced the owner not to fire you on the spot."

"Really? Then why are you telling me all of this?"

"Because you and I have an agreement with her. Let's just say I'll be waiting tables with you for a short while." She got up to walk away. "Oh, and if you so much as think of chickening out, it'll be your ass."

It was noon at the diner, and Steph was tending to customers. Her bare chest bounced behind her apron when she moved around.

Meanwhile, Lucy handed out menus, "Today's special is our patty melt. Let me know if you have any questions." Lucy tried to walk away, but Steph's glare made her continue nervously, "And here's our limited-time souvenir menu. I'll be back soon to take your order."

"Excuse me, miss!" Lucy swung around to see who called. It was the familiar blonde-haired girl who bought Lucy's underwear at the gas station.

Lucy smiled nervously as she approached, "What can I help you with?"

"So if I buy something off this menu, you'll take it off and give it to me?" She brushed her finger over the various clothing listed: shirt, pants, bra, panties, apron...

"U-uh, yes, that's how it worked," Lucy struggled to keep a straight face.

The blonde girl smiled, "Well, then. I'll have one of everything."
