Epilogue: Hate Crime
In the darkness, Lois Lane watched her wife sleep. Three months pregnant, and showing...really showing. Quadruplets. It seemed impossible, that growing inside of Angie right that minute were four new lives.
The brick burst through the window of their new house, scattered the blinds. Glass cut one of Angie's legs, and the demonic reporter smelled blood...and outside...smoke...
A cross was burning on their yard. There were people moving out there.
Lois picked up her pregnant bride. Angie was wide-eyed, clinging to her as they made their way to the panic room. Batman's last-minute gift when they'd bought the house. The reporter tapped in the access code, the door swung open...and another moment they were safely inside, door sealed behind them. Hearts beating, Angie shivering. Fear was an unfamiliar emotion to her.
It was a small space...four feet wide and eight feet long. Part of that space was taken up by a chemical toilet, gallon jugs of distilled water, a first aid kit. Lois ripped open the white plastic boy and moved to treat the scratch on Angie's leg.
"Did you bring the phone?" Angie asked.
The reporter cursed herself. She hadn't. There was no way to dial 9-1-1 from inside here. Lois stood up, prepared to go out...
...but Angie's hands grabbed onto her arm.
"Don't."
Lois turned, looking at those pale hands gripping her scarlet skin.
"It'll be all right. I'm a demon, remember?" Lois flashed a grin, showing her enlarged canines. Truth be told, she hadn't ever tried her body's new strength in combat...but the way she was feeling right now, she was ready to pick up that flaming cross and shove it straight up somebody's ass.
"Stay with me," Angie stood up and tugged the reporter away from the door.
"Angie, they could be in our house!" Lois protested.
The pregnant woman guided the reporter's hand down to her swollen stomach.
"They're just things," the former demon whispered. "The only things that matter are right here, with us."
Lois hesitated...it was still so weird, staring into what had been her old face. Yet she knew Angie was right. Eventually, one of the neighbors would call 9-1-1. Someone would come. Hell, Batman probably had an alarm going off in his Batcave right now.
The reporter relaxed and sat down next to Angie. It was cozy, just the two of them together. Lois put her arm around her wife's shoulders and hugged her close.
"You know, I was having this dream..." Angie laid her head against the reporter's shoulders. "I'd just given birth, and I was in the hospital bed. My stomach was all deflated and gross-looking, because of all that excess skin, you know? And the doctor said we couldn't have sex. But you were so horny. So I told you to climb on up, find a fold and fuck it...and you sort of mooshed together my stomach flaps around your cock, and you rubbed your cock through the flesh-tunnel while I moaned for your cum, asking you to imagine you were fucking another four babies in me..."
Lois chuckled. "Babe, that's perverted."
"Sweetmeat," Angie said, her hand reaching down toward the reporter's crotch. "YOu haven't begun to see how perverted I can get."
They had both taken to sleeping in the nude. So there was nothing between Angie's hand and her spouse's cock. With easy familiarity, the pregnant woman pulled the skin back from the head. Squeezed and stroked the shaft, and like the cobra rising to the piper's call, the crimson cock rose, stiff and ready for action.
"Angie," Lois said, in that tone of voice she saved only for her wife. "Really? Now? There might be armed bigots in the house right now. We could be minutes away from ****."
Blaze smiled...not one of her usual smiles, but one she saved only for Lois, with one eyebrow raised, teeth showing.
"Works for me."
Lois sighed...and Angie, realizing she had won, carefully rose, bracing herself against the wall, and shuffled over a step to lower herself onto her spouse's dick. Lois held up her arms to support and guide her...and they stayed like that, Angie in a kind of squat, Lois with her legs spread out wide. The demon rubbed her wife's back as Angie put her palms on the reporter's knees and rose and fell, rose and fell...her pussy tight, the swollen stomach jutting out in front of her. In a few months they wouldn't be able to do this...maybe only a few weeks...and time lost meaning for them there, in their little safe space, as their breath grew ragged and soft moans filled the confines of the panic room...and Lois knew she could keep this up until morning, if she had to.
She leaned forward and buried her face in her wife's long black hair, so much longer than Lois had ever let herself grow it out. Breathed in the scent of her shampoo. There was no hate in that room, just the two of them. Only love.
Superman blew out the burning cross with a chill wind. Wonder Woman held the perpetrators bound together with her golden lasso. The police were on their way.
"Cunt," one of the maskless men said. He had a great purple bruise swelling one eye shut.
The Amazon tightened the lasso a little. The assembled criminals groaned as it bit into their skin painfully.
Superman began to break off chunks of the charred cross. His heat vision burst forth, reducing them to pure carbon. Crushed the remnants between his fists. The diamonds would go some way to paying for the damage to Lois and Angelica Lane's house.
"I would recommend," Wonder Woman said. "That when the police come, all of you confess to your crimes, and submit yourself to whatever punishment the court offers."
The lasso of truth glowed briefly.
"Or else what?" The man with the black eye said.
A shadow crossed the moon. The man looked up to see a dark figure loom over him.
"Or else I'll tell everyone what else you have done," Batman rumbled. His eyes swept over the assembled mob, so pathetic and beaten without their masks. "Because none of you is without sin."
None of them resisted when the cops came to take them away.
Batman walked over to where Superman was leaving a note, and the diamonds, under Lois Lane's pillow.
"When should we let them know the coast is clear?"
The Man of Steel cocked his head, as if listening.
"Oh...at least fifteen minutes, I would say." He smiled. "Maybe half an hour."
