Epilogue: Esaza Phales

Esaza remains kneeling in the tower and humming long after the others have left and The Guardian approaches her. He taps her a few times until he gets her attention. She looks up at him sadly.

"You need to leave," he informs her and she shakes her head.

"I have nowhere to go," she says, "I have been everywhere in my world. Sssseen all of it's dangersss and wondersss... The only place I cannot go isss home," she adds. The Guardian looks empathetic, but shrugs.

"I'm sorry you can't stay here still," he reiterates. She looks to the stairs heading up into the tower.

"What happensss if one entersss without guidance?" she asks and the guardian hesitates before answering.

"It's certain ****. Without guidance, the tower is an incredibly hostile and dangerous place, constantly shifting with no direct path... It's a wild animal and the voices serve to sooth it and **** it to become orderly," he answers finally.

"If I... Were to enter now, without guidance... Would you ssstop me?" she asks and he hesitates before shaking his head.

Esaza stands, even knowing it to be certain ****, she still has a chance to venture into one last unknown. She ascends the steps as The Guardian looks on sadly.

There's no telling what happened to Esaza inside the tower, but it's clear she never returned to her world.
