Chapter 5

So what wish should I try??
Entering my brother's diary
There are reasons I didn't pick up Carmine's diary or journal as one of the options for books I could exploit or enter, the contents inside it is written in the Tengwar script. I never cared enough to learn fictitious languages like any Tolkien Elvish or just learn the script itself, so this is Carmine's ingenious way of keeping secrets. If there is a story and literal worldbuilding inside his Tengwar scribbled diary (and Carmine does tend to travel into books, probably including this one), I'm going to see it. I looked down at my magic shoes that I had on now, the possibility is almost endless, I make my first wish with them;
"If a world exists in Carmine's diary, I wish I was in it." And just like that, harsh light flashed all around me, causing me to reactively blink.
Immediately, I felt and heard a gust of warm tropical breeze blowing face before I slowly opened my eyes to a bright sunny day at a beach, a strike contrast to my town that is currently cloudy on an autumn day. I looked around me, wondering if I've been here before. To my right, the ever-expanding ocean, stretching to the horizon with colors like a crystal clear blend of sapphire, aquamarine and other blue gems, with its wave gently hitting the shores of pristine white sand. Turning towards my left, I saw a lone two-story, elevated beach house, every window is curtained despite there being no other signs of civilization around, this is the only sign of human life I see here so far. Is this Carmine's story? I wonder what story he got here. I looked down at my feet, seeing that I still had the magic shoes on that I could use to escape if something went wrong, then I head towards that house.
After a minute of knocking, I opened the curtained interior glass door which was surprisingly unlocked, inside of the house was just as unremarkable as the outside. Upon entrance from the door is a large living room space with a TV attached to the wall, and a few game consoles neatly stacked away in a shelf. There were other shelves containing books, nothing unusual from my apartment. Beyond the living room is a small kitchen with all the necessities of a kitchen. Weirdly enough while the lights are on and everything is clean, the dead silence implies that nobody is here. Where could they have gone, this land so far has no visible roads, or anything resembling civilization besides this house. I decided to explore the place, seeing there was a staircase on my left, but then suddenly, there was a knock on one of the glass panels of the door. Looking back towards it, I see a silhouette of what appears to be a tall man through the curtain of the glass panel; I froze, could it be the owner of this house? No, no owners would knock on the door of their own house, they would have a key, and they would also know whether there are other people here. Then who is he, and where did he come from?
KNOCK! KNOCK! "Hello?!" a voice of a man called out.
Another two knocks. Should I stay or should I go? I shouldn't even be here. I stared at the silhouette of the man through the curtain, the glass part of the door was tall enough to reveal the general stature of the man. As I see him moved a little, I saw very clearly that he was naked, no sign of stitching covering his musculature.
Who was that man?
