Chapter 5 by xmare xmare

What's next?

Enter the restaurant

"Oh my god this smells amazing." My proclamation already drew the attention of a few tables. The team glared at me.

"Low profile." The younger woman in my team said, assertively, surprising me with her tone.

I sneered at her and listened as the other woman talked to the waitress by the podium. This waitress was hot. I tried not to stare too much, but I couldn't help but run my eyes down her tight dress.

I tried a few tricks to start her entrancement, figuring she might be useful later in the mission, but I have trouble catching her eye, kind of important for my methods. I start tapping the table, hoping an audible induction might catch her. It's hard to target even an audible without being able to see their face, but annoyingly my colleague blocked my view.

My 'colleague' whispered something in her ear before she smiled and beckoned for our group to follow her. "Your table awaits," she said, seductively (in my opinion).

She led us through the restaurant. I lagged a few steps behind and used a quick gesture trick to take a skewer from some old man's plate. 'He can't mind what he doesn't notice,' I figured. I noticed his wife, or whoever she was, or at least her cleavage, and figured now would be a good moment for a nice long yawn and stretch for her. She did as I commanded and her wonderful breasts almost popped out.

Anyway...

I caught up with my team and followed the waitress through a beaded curtain into a bustling kitchen and continued through it to the back. I looked around for more food to steal but these chefs had some big knives, so I thought better of it. Plus the vibe had changed: the bustling in the kitchen fell silent but for some fizzing pans and flames beneath them.

I decided I should focus, I looked up and jumped in surprise. "Woah!"

Everyone turned to look at me, so I looked back at them, surveying the situation. Things had rearranged while I was busy looking at the food.

Two cooks had guns pulled (both of which aimed at me since I yelled). Our 30-year-old woman had grabbed the waitress as a hostage, and had a gun aimed at her head. The waitress looked very distressed. I didn't stop to wonder where she pulled the gun out from at the time, but it would have been a good question to ask.

Of the rest of our team, the younger woman had her hands above her heads and the 'weapon' guy had a gun trained on someone I could only describe as a 'very big chinese guy.'

Now was my moment to decide:

Save the day or take the opportunity to split
