Enter the Webbed Passage

You gulp as you slowly walk down into the depths of the webbed passage, trying your best to avoid each strand of webbing. It was your nightmare scenario, your fear of arachnids hitting you like a hammer each time you thought you'd seen a spider. Luckily, you don't seem to find any.

You continue walking until you hear a sliding noise at the entrance of the passage. You can barely see through the webbing, but you realise that a glass panel seems to have shot up, blocking you in. Dread sets in and you turn, facing the way ahead.

That's when a quiet scuttling noise echoes throughout the passage. Some webs seems to bounce and move about as the scuttling continues. It seems to go silent for a second, and you can see a shadow form on one of the thicker parts of webbing. Dread hits you as you see the eight legs slowly ascend up the webbing. You look down and wipe away a bead of sweat as you see another, similar shadow appear beneath you, coming from another wall of webbing above you.

Looking ahead, you notice that a glass panel seems to have gotten stuck on a particularly dense piece of webbing going through the doorway. You might make it if you ran, but maybe it would be more sensible to run for your life...
