Run!

Staying completely still, you start to build up the courage to run through the doorway. Though as you do so, you see the silhouette of one walking across the floor behind a wall of web. They seem to have a normal human body connected to the abdomen.

Holy fuck, you think, they're like centaurs.

You watch the entity move behind the web, before it climbs up it. The entire room seemed like a climbing frame for these spiders, and you must've been directly in the centre of it.

As you hear a movement from behind you, adrenaline shoots through your veins, propelling you forward. You bolt for the exit, hearing the scuttling chasing you get closer and closer. One of the creatures hisses as it descends from one of the walls to the side, yet you don't get more than a glimpse as you hop over the glass, slamming your shield into the web with as much **** as you could muster.

One, two, three... come on... four... five!

The webbing stopping the door from closing snaps with your fifth strike. In response, the glass panel slides up, filling you with a sense of security as you observe one of the creatures run head-first into the glass.

The creature itself had eight legs and an abdomen, the section that of a spider being overall brown, with orange stripes at the joints of the legs. Each leg seemed about the thickness of a small tree branch, a large talon sitting at the end of it. Your eyes wander to the more human part of it and you realise this one was a man. He had long, wavy hair and a bulky body. His face seemed quite angular but soft at the same time. The man seemed to be healthy, evident due to his six-pack on his stomach and his surprisingly large biceps.

The male spider-creature slammed a fist into the glass wall and you stepped back. You wave at it and turn around, finding that the path splits into two separate passages. There is a symbol on the ground of each pathway.
