Endgame - "Consider this the farewell" (S1)

In the power room three vampires were clashing and slashing with super strength and at high speed. Leon’s combat knife has already broken, but Katherine were bleeding from dozens of wounds on her torso. Seizing an opportunity Ada spin-kicked at Katherine’s head and struck her down heavily.

But she’s still standing up. She cried painfully as most of the eyes on her body started to pop, and spikes or tentacles began to grow from them. In mere seconds she turned into something like a mutated hedgehog, where only half of her face remained a certain level of human characteristic.

“What’s going on with her...” Having seen so much abominations this night Leon was still shocked by Katherine’s malformation.

“She must’ve fed on the G’s blood. Without a close enough DNA match, she couldn’t stop the G-cells in her blood from continuing mutating.” Ada stepped back for a bit and assessed the monster, “You see that now. G-Virus is a threat even to vampires. Just don’t feed on them.”

“What are you, my mother?” Leon was quite unhappy at Ada’s lecturing tone and spilled out the words naturally.

“Well...Technically, I am.” Ada was surprised at first but turned to a wicked smile quickly.

“Oh, Christ...” Leon shook his head reluctantly, sheathed his broken knife and checked the clip of his Matilda, “So what do we do now?”

“She can’t keep regenerating forever. Her body is already falling apart.” Ada scanned the surroundings and noticed that the fences on one side of the platform have been weakened, “I have an idea.”

“What-” The moment Leon saw Ada running towards the fences he knew what the idea was. All he needed to do was to distract Katherine for a little longer.

The trick worked as Katherine blindly charged at Leon, but missed due to his swift movement. It seemed that she was totally consumed by the G-Virus and has developed an intelligence degeneration. Ferocious growls were all that she could make from her throat.

Leon reunited with Ada, who has already broken the fences by brute ****. Seeing that they were standing together, Katherine let out an angry howl and rushed towards the duo.

They easily dodged the attack, and she fell off the platform and without a doubt dropped into the boiler of molten metal. Her agonizing screams echoed in the room while her body was being scorched and slowly disintegrated.

“Regenerate from that, you son of a...” Leon was totally exhausted and immediately sat on the floor, breathing heavily. But his rest didn’t last long as he remembered who was standing next to him and what he must do.

“Are you really gonna do this?” Ada asked calmly as Leon quickly stood up and pointed his gun at her. She was not anxious at all, like the silver bullets in this gun weren’t going to post a threat to her. But still, she’s a little bit disappointed.

“I want answers.” Leon held his gun tightly, “Why did you do this to me?”

“You’ve tasted someone, too. I can smell that on you.” Ada smirked and crossed her arms casually, “Then you must’ve known how hard it is for us to resist the urge, to deny our nature.”

“That doesn’t justify what you’ve done!” He shouted angrily and pointed the gun right at her head.

“It doesn’t. And there isn’t justice in this world. None at all. I understood it, I’ve made my peace with it, with what I am.” A smile curled up on her face, “See those monsters? Even if you survive the gunshot, eventually you will die by one of their hands. I made you a greater being, and I offered you a choice to ‘live’.”

“This isn’t living...” Leon shook his head, “This is a curse! I can’t live like this!”

“Then what are you waiting for? You have the means. Go ahead.” Ada glanced his pistol and smiled, “You were thinking that you’ve decided to end yourself after escorting those girls out of the city, right? But we always find another excuse to keep going, keep feeding, and keep fucking...”

“No! I-”

Before Leon could finish his sentence he was brutally kicked at the stomach by Ada, flew over the whole platform and crashed on the wall. He didn’t even fall to ground and was lifted up, grabbed by the throat by the female vampire, who charged at him at a supernatural speed.

Leon tried to struggle, but he was no match for Ada. Vampires wouldn’t suffocate and die, but the pain was still there.

“No? Is that so?”

Ada kissed on Leon’s lips and **** her tongue through. She teased the hidden fangs above his gum lines, making him salivate. The intoxicating sensation from his slowly sliding down fangs aroused him tremendously. He could feel his manhood gradually hardening.

You do, and always will, thirst for more.”

“I...” Without breathing he couldn’t even speak, let alone retort.

“So, I’m offering you THIS.” Ada grabbed his penis hard to clear his mind, “Either you come with me right now, work with me and I’ll teach you how to control the thirst, or I’ll leave you be. What say you?”

Leon was dropped on the floor and he desperately gasped for air - not that he actually needed it to survive, but just tried to ease the pain in his throat. Ada’s offer, however, wasn’t really a choice. He hurt Claire, so it was his obligation to get her out of this hell safely. He will not abandon her.

“I think...” Leon stood up, paused and coughed before he continued, “this is where we go our separate ways.”

“I see.” There was a blink of disappointment on the female vampire’s face. She tipped on her lips and smiled at her protege, “Consider this the farewell.”

Ada turned around and swiftly reached to door to the Main Shaft and opened it with the dummy clearance from the EMF visualizer, before Leon could even see her movement.

She had dreamed of spending the eternity with him. It was entirely wishful thinking, it seemed.

But vampires had the ultimate patience with their immortality. Raccoon city was not the end of the world, and might also not be the end of them. Until next time, Leon.

The door shut behind Ada and the sound of high heels clicking started to recede. Leon held his hands tightly and tried his best to calm himself down while zipping his jeans. His fangs were retracted and his eyes were turned back to normal.

He took a deep breath and started to search the area.
