With a heavy heart, Ethan thinks she might be right. Unsure of how to say it out loud, he takes a moment, before settling on giving Layla a deep sigh and a nod. "I'm sorry..."
Reaching out, Layla gently touches Ethan's shoulder, the small gesture profoundly comforting. "It's alright. No need to apologize."
Ethan can feel melancholy in her words.
And so he leaves.
A few minutes later, Ethan is home, sitting on his couch and thinking. He did admit on some level he made the right choice. She was twice is age, and hung like a fucking horse. It wasn't exactly his ideal match. But still...
