End Chapter 3 Summary and Character Info – 3A-EW

Story Summary

The team all came together in the market and spent time purchasing supplies, including armor for Alanthea, and mounts for everyone but Ursa. Eventually Kaylen felt drawn to the **** auction, where Vesili urged him to purchase a teenage boy who was being sold to pay off a debt. They were interrupted by the boy’s sister, Dinnae, who ended up becoming Kaylen’s indentured servant in her brother’s stead after he used a thought reading spell to look into her memories, which unintentionally gave him insight into everyone in the room.

After introducing his new **** to the rest of the team and making it clear to Alanthea that he wasn’t going to indulge her curiosity about Dinnae’s **** mark, they made some final purchases that included armor and supplies for Danny, where Kaylen spoke to Vesili about her past as a ****. From there, they made their way out of the city, where Kaylen took stock of his team, and spoke with Talindra briefly who apologized for her reaction to Kaylen’s thought reading spell used without permission, and pledged to be more open about things that might occur in the future as adventurers. Then, after examining the map, they set off along the road. They noticed a group of flying adventurers pass overhead towards a wyvern and a group of harpies in the distance, then stopped for a quick meal.

While they ate, Lyria sat with Kaylen and told him she approved of his decision to buy Danny in order to spare her or her brother from a worse master, but they were interrupted by Vesili, who sat with them and expressed her annoyance with Alanthea for asking her about Dinnae’s **** mark, and her desire to pursue a relationship with Kaylen before giving him a brief kiss.

The last leg of their journey **** them to ride in pairs through the narrow forest road, where Kaylen had a discussion with Ursa. She apologized again, and expressed her desire to see more of Kaylen’s assertive side, only to have to cut the discussion short when Talindra noticed a disturbance ahead. Investigating the disturbance brought them into combat with an injured harpy, who disabled Kaylen with a siren song which proved ineffective against his all-female companions.

Talindra followed close by Kaylen, only for him to pause, enchanted by the harpy’s singing. After a brief skirmish and an explicit threat from the elf for it to stop singing, Vesili tackled the harpy and Ursa knocked it to the ground, ending the fight, after which Kaylen shackled the harpy, named Gryla, and interrogated her with a truth spell, extracting a vow to leave them and the nearby villagers alone in exchange for healing her injured wing.

They decided to look for a place to camp since it was getting dark, and Lynn spotted a cracked boulder a ways off the road, where Lyria and Vesili had Alanthea check them for injuries after they’d been tumbled in the harpy fight, and then Lyria received a back massage while Kaylen was checking in with each of his companions in turn. Talindra suggested they double up for warmth and Vesili ended up sharing Kaylen’s bedroll. They snuggled together, and Kaylen woke with a stiff morning wood. Vesili was hesitant, but he coaxed her into giving him a hand job/blow job finishing with her swallowing.

Despite finding out that Ursa and the others had overheard their morning activities, they all took it in stride as the seven of them packed up and made their way to the village of Glenvale.

Important Characters

Kaylen Gallowglass

Kaylen is an 18 year old generalist red mage who recently gained the rank of adept and has been granted the opportunity to lead his own adventuring party. He has had difficulties in his life when it comes to romance, and that has led him to the idea of forming a party of mostly female teammates in the hope that becoming accustomed to working alongside someone like him will allow one or more of them to become a romantic prospect at some point in the future.

He’s already started developing intimate relationships with Vesili and Ursa, having spoken to Ursa about her desire to see more of his assertive side, and spent the night sleeping alongside the half-elf and received a hand job/blow job from her the following morning.

Lyria Gallowglass

Kaylen’s sister, Lyria is a few years older than him, and a few inches shorter. She’s been training with a sword since before she was a teen, and now fights as an armored greatswordsman, and was the first to be recruited by Kaylen for his team.

She’s become the defacto second in command, and developed a rapport with most the team especially Dinnae and Alanthea whom she feels particularly protective over.

Ursa Cloudwalker

Ursa is a rare half-giant, standing 8’4” tall with a long build strong with muscle, at least compared with most smaller races. She carries a round shield and one-handed spear sized for her frame, and fights as a defensive shield bearer. She was the second to be recruited by Kaylen for his team.

Ursa initially protested the idea of Dinnae’s admission to the team, but after Kaylen called her out, she settled down and immediately apologized for getting upset over it. She later reiterated her apology and expressed her desire to see more of Kaylen’s assertive side.

Talindra “Lynn”

Lynn is a tall, silver-haired elven archer with emerald green eyes. She has served her people for about a decade as a ranger and recently decided she wanted to travel more and see more of the world, so she left the forests and arrived at the capital just a week later, where she has been hanging around the adventurer’s guild another few days before Kaylen came to choose his team.

She has already begun to be taken by Kaylen as a man, and as a leader, though she was somewhat offended when Kaylen used a thought reading spell on her and others without permission, which she later apologized for. She’s also developed a surprising (to her) rapport with Vesili, having come to empathize with her in spite of her half dark-elf heritage as she’s challenged some of her preconceptions.

Vesili Tenorei

At under 5 feet tall, Vesili can easily pass as a teenager, until one notices the pale grey slightly bluish skin, tapered ears, and large violet eyes that reveal her dark elven heritage, though her black hair and the short length of her ears mark her as only a half elf. Despite being raised by her human mother, Vesili has been bullied and persecuted all her life, forcing her to learn to be sneaky and grow thick skin. She was very grateful to be chosen for Kaylen’s team since he seems to be willing to look past her heritage and give her a chance.

Vesili has grown somewhat protective of Dinnae since she feels responsible for urging Kaylen to purchase her (originally her brother). She also feels very grateful to Kaylen for helping her form a rapport with Talindra, the first high elf she’s ever befriended, and this affection has grown into romantic feelings towards Kaylen, to the point where she confessed she was once a **** to him and volunteered to share a bedroll with him when they camped for the night in the forest.

Sister Alanthea

A tall slender woman with long blond hair and vibrant blue eyes, Alanthea can come across as cold, uncaring, even distracted. She has been interested in becoming an adventurer for quite some time, and is grateful to Kaylen for recruiting her, even though he didn’t really have many options. A disciple of Mortanius, god of ****, Alanthea may be a skilled healer, but she can also be a bit unsettling.

Alanthea tried to learn more about Dinnae’s status as a ****, particularly the location of her **** mark. She also is surprisingly eager to gain experience with medicine in the field.

Dinnae “Danny” Thatcher

Due to a fierce protectiveness of her younger brother, Danny offered herself to take his place as Kaylen’s indentured servant. She now uses her skills as a tanner to assist him and his team of adventurers. She has already begun forming attachments to Kaylen, his sister, and Vesili, who was instrumental in convincing Kaylen to buy her in place of her brother.

Gryla

A harpy the group encountered in the forest. After a brief scuffle, Kaylen extracted from her a vow to leave them and the villagers alone, and allowed Alanthea to heal her injured wing.

Gregory Thatcher

Danny’s younger brother, Gregory was caught stealing from a noble and ended up being sentenced to indentured servitude to pay off his debt, but after Janel encouraged Kaylen to buy him to spare him from a worse master, Danny arrived and ended up becoming Kaylen’s **** in his place.

Dillon Thatcher

Gregory and Dinnae’s uncle, Kaylen met Dillon Thatcher when he escorted Gregory leave him with his relatives. Dillon tasked Kaylen with keeping his niece safe.

Breen Thatcher

Gregory and Dinnae’s aunt, Kaylen met Breen Thatcher when he escorted Gregory leave him with his relatives.

Rolph Ander

The owner and master armor smith at Ander’s Armory, Rolph fitted Alanthea and Dinnae for chainmail tunics.

Hali

Rolph Ander’s cousin who works as a tailor, and fitted Alanthea and Dinnae for the aketons they wear beneath their chainmail tunics.

Marian Ander

The daughter of the armorer, Rolph Ander, Marian works as the receptionist and as a craftsman at Ander’s Armory.

Garion Tilk

A **** master who owns the local **** auction, Garion negotiated with Kaylen over Gregory/Dinnae becoming his indentured servant, though he was left frustrated with the price Kaylen ended up paying for Dinnae.
