Chapter 20 by Zeebop Zeebop

What does Zatanna have in mind?

End: Drunken Belly Punching

Lois Lane upended the tequila bottle and took a healthy swig. Not something that an expectant mother should do...but then again, Lois didn't plan to be expectant for very long, if this plan worked.

"Can...can you go through thish one more time?" Lois said, her words slightly slurred.

The reporter had taken off her clothes. Zatanna had painted sigils on the reporter's body...her breasts, arms, buttocks, shoulders, and a complicated sigil like an upside-down pentagram on her stomach, centered about three inches below her navel, with something like a wavy flam in the very middle.

Wonder Woman had taken off her shirt too. No one had asked her too, but she had killed about half the bottle by herself, and claimed that she felt warm. Staring at the generous pale breasts with their small pink nipples, neither Lois or Zatanna had minded.

"There's still a mystical connection between Blaze and the embryo," Zatanna said. "If I use a spell to forcefully transfer the pregnancy to her, she can resist it...or send it right back, or abort it. But, if I place a spell of protection on the fetus...like so..." the witch laid her hand n the reporter's naked abdomen and intoned ".nrobnu eht tcetorP"

Lois didn't feel any different, but she swore she saw a slight flow around the magician's fingertips.

"Now the baby is protected from miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion...you could get hit by a car and the child will still survive. But Blaze doesn't know that. So I'm going to increase the mystical link between the child and its...father...so that Blaze will sense the danger when Wonder Woman strikes you in the stomach. The demon will instinctively try to save her offspring, and take the now un-abortable pregnancy into herself. Then I just need to use a simple birth control spell to prevent her from sending it back to you."

The reporter stared glassily at the Amazon. Wonder Woman tossed her long black hair, clenched and unclenched her fists. She definitely looked like someone who got fighting drunk.

"And I'll shurvive thish?" Lois asked, vaguely glad she was drunk. She would hate to do this sober.

"We can heal you," Zatanna said. "But we'll have to act fast once I cast the spell...if we give Blaze any time to suss out what we're doing, she might not take the bait."

"Right," Lois Lane took a deep breath. She raised the bottle to her lips and they stood there as she polished off the bottle. The reporter stared at Diana, and tried to relax instead of tightening her abs.

"Hit me."

"!regnad s'dlihc rouy fo erawa eb, ezalB"

Lois didn't see the Amazon move. Even with half a bottle of tequila in her, Wonder Woman was fast, strong, supremely skilled. Her knuckle touched the center of the pentagram...and behind that, Lois knew, was her womb. Where a little clump of cells was busily growing and dividing.

There was a flash of heat...the boom of distant thunder. Every hair on Lois Lane's body stood on end...and then the Amazon's fist sank deep into the reporter's stomach and rattled her spine. Immediately, the reporter dropped to her knees, and was not surprised to taste copper and see blood pour from her mouth. Pain wracked her body...and Zatanna was there in an instant, whispering incantations of pregnancy prevention and healing.

Diana smiled, a little flushed.

"If I had used my full strength," she said, "I'd have put my hand right through you!"

Lois Lane couldn't speak...a shattered rib had cut through lungs and diaphragm...but Zatanna's magic quickly reversed the damage. The pain, bright and hideous, faded like the memory of a bad sunburn.

"Did...did it work?" Lois asked.

Zatanna reached down and tapped the smudged ruin of the sigil on the reporter's abdomen.

".ycnangerp tceteD"

They waited. Nothing happened. Lois closed her eyes and let out a deep breath.

"Thank you, Zee," Lois said, with heartfelt emotion. The witch smiled.

"You're welcome. Now...let's really party!"

In her lair, beneath the club, the demon Blaze stared at her midsection in frustration. She had sensed the sudden, mortal danger to the unborn child, and in a split-second had seized it from its mother's womb...and now she could sense the spells that wrapped around it. Words of power, strong and tightly knit. The embryo had already fastened itself into her own dark uterus, and she could feel her powers begin to ebb slightly as the child drained them to fuel its own growth.

That could be a problem...but it wasn't one that Lois Lane had to deal with. She was entirely ignorant of the events happening inside Blaze...drinking and laughing with her friends, clothes being shed, sharing skinship with them...and perhaps, by the time the night was over, something more. The demon growled as she felt the child grow inside of her...and knew she would have a suitable **** for this trickery.

But that is another story.

The End
