Encouraging Reconciliation
"So, Douglas and I have been over this frontwards and backwards," Consuela told her daughter. "We can't keep funding your life, and given that D-Train's income is ... not legal or easy to track, we aren't going to have any good avenues for child support either."
"Douglas is a lawyer," Valentina complained. "There should be plenty of money."
"There won't be," Consuela said with some finality. "Douglas is going to be taking a backseat at his firm. A new role for a new mindset."
"So what do I do then, mama? I can't work, you know that's not what I'm good at."
"I know that," Consuela said, sighing heavily. "You may need to ...makeup with D-Train." Valentina's jaw dropped.
"But he cheated so many times! And to crawl back to him?"
"I know, I know," Consuela said, pulling her daughter in for a tight hug.
