Encounter the police

Melissa waited outside, bobbing her weight on her two feet as she hid around the brick pillar supporting the strip mall awning. This continued for several minutes before Melissa noticed a policeman walk in her general direction.

"Excuse me, ma'am?" he accosted her, as she was still hiding her nude body around the corner from him, "we've had complaints of a streaker around this strip mall."

"Is that thing on?" Melissa nervously pointed toward the officer's bodycam.

"Yes ma'am," the officer confirmed as Melissa's heart sank, "I'm Officer Hendrickson with the Police Department. Would you care to explain why you're naked in public?"

"It's a long story," Melissa's eyes widened as she looked pleadingly through the window of Dr. Jorgensen's office, hoping he'd come out to save her any minute now.
