Emmaline settles on distracting Caroline, but awakens something further in her sister

"Oh, its fine!" Emmaline smiled, squeezing her sister's hand just a bit, "It's nothing all that bad, just making sure some noble or other doesn't do anything that they shouldn't. You're definitely safer now--knowing nothing, than you would be if I told you every little detail. You should just enjoy the party! Lady Dieudonne might not be a very good person, but she's certainly an excellent host!"

Caroline just stared back at her. Her mouth shifted as she struggle for words and she looked almost shocked that Emmaline would even suggest that she not get involved.

Emmaline grinned at her sister, but seemed to read her concerned expression fairly quickly. It seemed that just telling her not to think about it probably wouldn't be enough... she would need a different tactic.

".... more importantly, check this out!" Emmaline said, arching up on her toes and leaning her chest forward as she let go of Caroline's hand. The elegant pose was accentuated even further by Emmaline's well cut dress, outlining her figure beautifully, like a ballerina about to launch into movement. Caroline's search for words stopped, her mouth falling shut as Emmaline saw her swallow, hard. She winked, completely unaware that in Caroline's had, the only thing she could think of was just how beautiful Emmaline was, how lovely, shapely, and elegant. Emmaline's movements distracted her from the concerns of the moment, instead bringing to mind thoughts long passed.

Still completely oblivious to what was going on in her sister's head, Emmaline raised a hand, pointing at the sky with one finger. From nowhere, a tiny flame appeared above her finger, flickering slowly as it grew to about the size of a cherry.

Emmaline grinned at Caroline before the flame started to move, dancing between her fingers, around her hands. It was clearly something she had picked up in the circus, a routine mostly meant for small children, but Emmaline's movements sold it very well. Even with the relatively tame flame-shuffling, her movements seemed to take on an almost erotic tone, as she naturally shifted to a stance which accentuated her hips.

Caroline realized, as she watched her sister sway and dance with the flames, that she needed to tell Emmaline the truth. Too many nights had been spent without her sister, too many lonely nights spent touching herself as she yearned to see Emmaline again, even though she knew those perverted desires could never be shared. It was too much. Caroline felt as though she would explode if she kept those dirty, impure, thoughts to herself for even a moment longer.

"I love you," Caroline spoke softly. Her cheeks turned a faint red with a renewed blush as she took a step closer towards Emmaline. "You drive me crazy. You're so silly, and foolish, and childish and so... so... sexy. I've been in love with you and I didn't realize it until you ran away. Please don't run away again, Emmaline! Stay with me."

Just like that, it was out there. Her oh so inappropriate confession was made, and all Caroline could do was wait for a response.
