Emma makes a surprising suggestion.

“Hey love,” Emma starts, looking at you as you get in the bed with her. “How would you feel about taking Mia out on a date?”

“Excuse me?” You watch her with blinking eyes. Where did that come from?

“I said I thought she needed to get her mind off things, but I honestly don’t think just a single night of drinking will do much good. I think she needs to… get back in the game, as they say, and I think she’d have a good time with you.”

“You really want me to go out with Mia?” You asks again, making sure you heard her right.

“I remember you implying you found her attractive yesterday.” She gives you a teasing grin. “Don’t tell me you wouldn’t like it?”

“Just let me get this straight. You want me to… ask Mia to be my girlfriend as well?” You ask hesitantly.

“Well, not exactly.” She says, tracing a finger through your lips. “I really think it would be good for her to go out and have fun with a man. Maybe make her remember what it was like, that there’s plenty more fish in the sea. I’m not saying you should sleep with her, MAKE her fall for you or that you should fall for her, though I wouldn’t complain if that happened.” She smiles shyly. “I just think it would help her, but I don’t want to **** you.”

You consider Emma’s words as you think of your English teacher. Truth be told, you’re not against the idea. You’ve been meaning to get to know Mia better, and if Emma believes it would help, you’re willing to do it.

Now the question is, should you approach this as a way to make Mia fall for you using the Affection Multiplier?

You take your phone from the night stand and boot up the AMA. There, you check Mia’s current score.

So Mia is really fond of you, and it seems the thought of you as a romantic partner has at least crossed her mind once or twice. So, what should you do?

Then it dawns on you that Emma is RIGHT FUCKING BESIDE YOU. You freeze, the “Teachers” subfolder of the Hayes Academy category staring back at you, showing of course, Emma’s, Mia’s and even Ms. Miller’s scores. Then, your girlfriend speaks.

“Why are you staring blankly at your phone?” She chuckles. “Don’t tell me you’re so excited by the idea you just froze. You’re hopeless, love.” She laughs softly, ignoring what’s showing on your phone screen.

Huh? Did she not see it? Impossible, she’s looking straight at it. Maybe she just doesn’t know what it is? But she still should be curious why her and her colleagues’ names are here. Could it be she… just CAN’T see it?

Now that you think about it, you’ve never used it in front of anyone. This one was just a huge slip on your part, but if it turns out she can’t see it you wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore.

“Sorry, I spaced out for a second.” You smile sheepishly. “Just a question Angel. What do you see here?” You asks, showing her your phone with the AMA still open.

She gives you a puzzled look before answering. “Your wallpaper? That robot from that show you like so much. Why does it have two faces again?”

“Uh… because it’s cool?” You give her an embarrassed smile.

So she just CAN’T see it. It’s right in front of her, yet she only sees your wallpaper. Well, that’s good to know.

“I was just thinking that if I accept, our weekends would be at least a day shorter.” You grimace, brushing that little topic aside.

“Oh. Ugh, right.” She mirrors your expression.

“Are you okay with that?”

“I… umm… UGH! Yes, I am!” She answers after having a short fight with herself. “I mean, I’m not, but I’ll survive. I think. Hopefully. It’ll only be for a while, right? Unless you two hit it off and decide to actually get together.” She lightly nudges you and gives you a playful smirk.

You smile and sigh, shaking your head. “Let me think about it some more. We should also talk about this with Emily and Megan.”

“Oh, right! I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to omit them.”

“I know.” You tell her and giver a short kiss on the lips. “Now, let’s get some sleep.”

After cuddling and saying goodnight, you both fall asleep in each other’s arms.
