Emma’s just a little bit jealous!

‘Well…’ Emma looks up at you, and you’re surprised – but pleased – to see the faint but definite light of possessiveness in her eyes. ‘It doesn’t hurt to remind people occasionally that you’re my boyfriend and no one else’s. All right?’

You nod, still running your fingers through her soft brown hair. ‘Absolutely fine by me.’

Then Emma’s leg buzzes against you, and she looks down in surprise. ‘Sorry – must be Sarah. Although this is supposed to be my day off…’

‘Check it,’ you tell her, shifting your leg so she can reach. ‘It’s probably important.’
