Emily checks in...then out

You're cuddled up on the couch, with Mazl nestled at your front. It's actually amazing she's not laying down, instead, she has one wing and paw around your left side, head on your chest right above your heart, and right paw next to her head. Her tail curls up and lays in your lap. Your right arm is free to gently caress her face and left paw, which you're currently holding. It's a sweet moment until there's a knock on your door.

"Got it!" Molly bounds over to the door and opens it. "Oh, hi Emily! Didn't know it was time for an inspection. I had just about done reheating dinner, please come in!"

Mazl stirs in your arms and nestles in closer, if such a thing was possible. She's clearly uncomfortable with Emily's presence. "It's okay. She's only here to make sure everyone is doing okay. She won't do anything to you. I won't let her." Mazl seems to settle down as you reassure her.

"Hey Jack. Came by for standard procedure to see how everything is going after you sponsored Mazl. But looks like the three of you are doing just fine. Molly, we'll start with you." Emily says, bringing her attention to the bee girl in the kitchen.

"Well, az expected, Producer's time is split between the two of us now. His main focus has been on Mazl since we sponsored her. She'z come a long way, but I'll let her tell you if she wants to, bzzt." Molly replies.

Emily turns to Mazl. "Mazl?"

"Go away." Mazl replies.

Emily looks at her sternly. "We've been over this, Mazl."

"You heard her. She doesn't want to talk to you right now. Mazl is in good hands. I'd tell you more, but I don't think she wants me to right now." You reply.

The air is tense until Molly breaks up the atmosphere. "Hey! Food's ready!" Molly calls, bringing over a folding table and plates.

"Mazl, do you want anything right now?" You ask. Mazl shakes her head. "Okay." You reply.

"Sorry Mazl, but my supervisors thought you still haven't been eating since Jack sponsored you, so they had me bring over over this." Emily says as she beings out a floppy plastic tube. "They said it was nutrient paste and -"

"Shut up." You say as Mazl tenses up significantly. "Mazl, sorry." You say as you carefully lay Mazl down. Finally, you get up and stand in front of Emily. "Mazl is a person. She gets to decide if she eats, or doesn't. She gets to decide what she wants to do. You aren't allowed to treat her like some fucking animal, rather than the beautiful, intelligent, smart woman she is in my house. Now get out, and don't come back here talking about that shit ever again. You will apologize to Mazl. And it'll be up to her if she decides she will welcome you in our home. But for now, get out."

Emily looks like she's going to say something, but you stop her. "I said out. Neither you nor anyone else at AWIO are allowed to mistreat Mazl ever again." You say as you nearly push the poor AWIO representative out the door and slam it shut.
