Ruby watched as a second plate followed the other. Looking up from from the plates She saw Emerald a smile on her face completely juxtaposed to Emerald's current expression of absolute fear. "Oh hey Em, whatcha doing with-,"

"I AM SO SO SORRY MA'AM IF I HAD KNOWN, YOU HAD COME TO THE CAFETERIA SOONER I WOULDN'T HAVE BROUGHT TWO PLATES," Emerald started rambling, her face in a state of pure panic. Ruby stared in confusion. Why was Emerald so worried? Why did she call her Ma'am?

"Em it's o-," Ruby tried to reassure her but was interrupted by the thieves ramblings. Ruby grabbed one of Emerald's hands, which thankfully got her to stop. Ruby watched as Emerald made eye contact before immediately blushing and looking away. "Em look at me," Emerald seemed to hesitate before following orders. "Okay I need you to explain what's going on,"Emerald simply took a packet of slips and handed them to Ruby.

The first one already had the information filled out.

Name: Emerald Sustrai

Promotion: Loyal thief of Ruby Rose

Reason: A sense of duty to Summer Rose and Emotions you hold for Ruby Rose

Ruby stared at the paper she had a feeling this was wrong, but the memories of Emerald coming home for the first time and her getting her fisty personality around others all of that added up.

"Oh congrats on getting a Promotion," Ruby flipped through the rest of the slip all identical, half where promotion and the other half demotion. " What's up with the rest of the slips.

" All I remember was being given my promotion and then having the packet along with a note saying spread the silver eyes,"

"Okay but how?" Ruby looked through the pages no way a piece of paper could turn people's eye color.

"Something about the slips changing people," Emerald looked down at Ruby's bulge and adverted her eyes. The fantasies that followed would be saved for later. "One of us could give the other a filled slip and see if it changes anything,"

"Okay but we have to do something small, we don't want to change something we might never be able to notice,"
