Embrace it

“Holy fuck”, Steven said looking up and down the frozen teacher before him. “This is…this is next level stuff.”

“I’m more concerned why you didn’t tell us about this before hand”, Katie demanding, turning towards Mark.

“Hey I only got them at the end of last week”, Mark said defensively, holding his hands up. “Plus I only figured out how to do this about 30 minutes ago.”

“Hmmm, fine”, Katie said. “That does bring up the question of why you are telling about this now?”

“Well, it’s a funny storyline, Mark started, rubbing his neck. He then went on to explain how he had frozen Phoebe, stuffed her in his locker, and intended to keep her so as to not get in trouble.

“So as to not get in trouble with being caught in the girl’s restroom, your going to kidnap someone”, Steven asked, his eyebrow raised.

“Well when you put it like that….” Mark said somewhat doubtingly.

“Well I think it’s a great idea”, Katie announced.

“You do?” Steven asked.

“You do?” Mark repeated.

Katie sighed. “O.K, I have to admit, having a collection of time frozen people is rather hot. Plus I’m guessing she’s not the only one you want to freeze”, Katie asked, turning to Mark.

“Uh, well, I figured to cover my ass, I need to freeze Phoebe’s friend Dawn as well”, Mark admitted sheepishly.

“And her other friend?” Katie asked.

“What other friend?” Mark asked in surprise.

“You really need to pay attention to social hierarchy in this school. Paige is known to have two best friends, much like you do as a mate of fact…” Mark looked away at this. “Her best friends are the aforementioned Dawn Chavez, and another Latina named Gabriella Borbon.”

“So he needs to freeze a total of three girls to get away scott free?” Steven asked.

“Yup, and he will need to learn to be more sneaky in the future”, Katie admonished.

“Yeah, I know, I know”, Mark replied, somewhat dejected.

“The good news is that that’s three frozen people, one for each of us.”

“Wait, what?” Steven asked.

“I’m saying we divide up our friend group among us. I swing both ways, so a frozen girl is no problem for me. What do you think Mark?”

Mark blinked for a couple of seconds. This was amazing. This were going to,work out just fine.“Yeah O.K, let’s do it.”

“Great”, Katie said, clapping her hands. “We have some work to do. Can you freeze time like you said, and we can go from there?”

Mark smiled at this. Everything was going to be great.
