Ellie Williams (The Last Of Us Part 2)

Born after the apocalypse, Ellie Williams is the only known human with a natural immunity to the Cordyceps Fungus. Years ago, her adopted father, Joel, was tasked with bringing her across the country and delivering her to the terrorist group known as the Fireflies that her immunity might be studied and replicated. Unfortunately, their experimentation would have claimed her life, and upon realising this, Joel's affection for her led him to murder several dozen of the group's members and flee with her.

Eventually, Joel was tracked down and brutally beaten to death by Abbie, the daughter of one of the doctors assigned to the project, in front of Ellie's very eyes. Following an ill-fated revenge mission to Seattle, Ellie finds herself drawn back onto Abbie's trail, abandoning her partner Dinah and their young son JJ in pursuit of the woman who took her father away.
