Chapter 2

Begin Arc 1
Eddara Harmont: Her Youth
Today was the day that I would officially become queen of Great Denpragon. I combed my brown hair, got dressed and made my way to the coronation. I sat on the throne while the archbishop gave the same speech that he gave when crowning my grandmother, Gwendolyn, and my father, Artor Harmont, before placing the crown on my head.
The council all swore their fealty to me. The council was made up of a Hand of the King, War Master, Coin Master, Spymaster, Law Master, Ship Master, Lord Commander of the Kingsguard and a Grand Maester.
It at this time that Searun Murguth became the dark Lord of Burham by killing his father and older brother. He then declared his intention to invade Great Denpragon.
"What do we do about this?" I asked.
Birmhum lay just a few days from the capitol.
"I shall negotiate with Murguth." I said.
"Is that wise, Queen Eddara?" asked Law Master Tobias Fraser.
"Actually, I believe that would be our best move." said Jon Kevlan.
As Hand of the King, Kevlan had ruled Great Denpragon for the past 12 years.
"It would be wiser to have Murguth assassinated." said Spymaster Arachne.
Arachne was a spider woman. She had the upper body of a woman and the lower body of a spider.
"Murguth may be a Dark Lord but he is still rightful ruler of Burhan." said Kevlan. "Assassinating him will make things worse."
"Kevlan is right." I said.
I had a letter sent to Murguth, demanding he report himself to the capitol for an explanation regarding his actions. Of course, Murguth did not appear at the capitol personally. He instead sent a messenger in his place.
A hooded messenger arrived at the throne room, wearing black robes. I wasn't a fool and had extra guards stationed in case any of MurGuth's minions attacked.
