Ed continues on after the creature flies off

Ed felt strength return to his limbs once the creature left and he continued on sprinting until his lungs feel as though they'd burst and then lightly jogging. It's a technique that would have improved his fitness immeasurably in the real world and would most likely prevented his early **** but it seemed so much more exciting to do the same activity in the virtual world.

The heat bore down upon Ed and his mouth felt dry. If there had been a water skin at the start offering some ease on his journey then he seem to have missed it. Ed carried on , increasingly **** for water when he started to see small signs of greenery until he was in an oasis of long grass and trees, yet any water had to have been underground as he couldn't see any around him. Ed kept going hearing the first sounds of life around him, Ed ignored it assuming it was dangerous and focused on finding water as his lips felt increasingly parched.

The sound of life changed as the skies darkened and a wind built in strength, Ed didn't notice the change at first but to locate the source. You turn and see a huge sandstorm approach, you flee In a panic but eventually stopped just as the storm quickly engulfs him. Tiny stones ripped his skin, then larger stones tear at it, he felt himself getting weaker as he continued on.

Noticing a crevice he squeezed into it to wait for the storm to pass but it doesn't provide nearly enough shelter, Ed died naked and alone with his skin torn by a thousand cuts until his vitality reached zero and he passed on with a whimper.

The Exiled Lands are a harsh place to try to attempt to survive.
