Easter Parade !

"What are we doing for Easter ?" asked Diane as she wandered into Jeff's office. "Er, I don't know. I hadn't thought. We don't normally bother doing anything special for Easter, everyone just takes the bank holidays off" he replied. "But it's one of those major calendar events that mark the passing of the year" Diane persisted. "We really ought to make the most of all of those as opportunities to raise the company profile and boost team morale."

"Well do you have anything in mind ?" Jeff responded. "As a matter of fact I do" answered Diane. "My connections on the town council informed me they are organizing an Easter Parade. I've enquired about the cost of having a float and it would only be a few hundred pounds from the company social fund" she continued. "That's not a problem" said Jeff. "But what would we do ?" he wondered. "We'll ask all the team to donate a couple of Easter eggs each and we can distribute them via the food bank to under privileged kids. A few of us can dress up in fancy dress and hand out more goodies too as we go along."

"That's typically big hearted of you Diane. What kind of fancy dress ?" Jeff was curious. "Oh, Easter themed. Bonnets and frills, Easter bunnies and chicks, that kind of thing" answered Diane vaguely. "Excellent. And you're volunteering ?" asked Jeff. "Absolutely, Aditty and I are really up for it. But to get the full team on board we could do with more management representation. Do you think you could ask Debbi for me ? For some reason I can't understand, she and Carol always seem to take a contrary view to anything that I come up with and try to sabotage it" Diane continued deviously. "Yes, I had noticed a certain antipathy" agreed Jeff. "Leave Debbi to me. I'll make sure she's fully on board and I'll tell her to co-operate with whatever plans you have, or else !"

"Great" said Diane.
