'When' are we?
Early Stages - No Treatment or Cures Available
The world doesn't know anything about the HOST-Disease yet. The illness is still in its earliest stages of viral development, and thus spreads slowly. Only so many people know about the disease, and their response is airy. After all, HOST-D had its first patients in a developed country, with a population that was well-informed about the consequences of unsafe sex and the troubles of catching STDs.
As a consequence, treatment is not available yet for people who did catch the disease. There is still considerate bias within society about the physical changes most of these patients undergo, and therefore, people typically avoid sharing their troubles, and try to keep their transmutation a secret. Only so much can be kept a secret however, and it can only be kept a secret for so long. There comes a point where people will look at you, strangely or warily, and one might risk being discovered. What consequences will that hold for them?

IrreFutable Changes
Catching the Wrong STD
The Hormone-Oriented Sexual Transmutative Disease, also known as HOST-D, is a transformative disease that can be caught through sexual activity. Their carriers, also known as Hosts, will have to endure their changes, sometimes for the rest of their lives, as a consequence of unprotected sex. Their stories are written here.
