END REPORT

You utter a string of curses as you go through the report. You swallow heavily before telling the computer "Open BBS." Your eyes quickly scan down to the latest messages. The BBS system was designed as an emergency communication system only accessible by security. Posts were not able to be edited and the system was simple enough to be backed up throughout the base in unlikely places such as vending machines or cleaning bots.

As you read through the messages it is surprising how much innuendo is in them. Finding yourself rubbing your own thighs together as you had begun to drift off into a daydream you shake your head trying to clear it and refocus. Wiping a few drops of sweat from your forehead you continue reading. You manage to put together a picture of what happened with a slowly growing horror.

Several hours ago people had begun to notice an increase in the base's temperature and they quickly discovered the climate controls were unresponsive. Shortly after the base's main Operating System went suddenly offline. With the backup not coming on the emergency operating system kicked in. It was designed to keep life support working on fixed presets however due to the increased temperature it seemed those had somehow been altered.

Just when the suspicious of sabotage were starting to fly around a security officer heard from a scientist that some kind of chemical had been detected in the life support systems. That was only minutes ago. You lean back looking up at the vent near the ceiling. You don't feel like coughing any more. In fact you don't feel too bad at all.
