"Ambitious," the Housemaster says. "Well, if that visit to the Garden of Delights has fired your interest in sustaining conjurations, I would be pleased to help you study."
"There's that book you were telling me about? Unfolding the Perfection of Desire?"
"Yes. I would be happy to have you study it, but it cannot leave my office. The wards that secure it are anchored there, and it's not a volume that I'd wish just anyone -- even your Minerval friends -- to be playing with," he says.
You arrange a course of study with your Housemaster. It's an absorbing book, and you gain insight into the special conjurations that went into creating, enhancing, and maintaining the Garden of Delights. On the third session, he has to leave early for a meeting, and you beg the favor of staying to finish a chapter.
"Ah, very well," he says. "Close the book when you are finished, and that will restore the ward."
