Dusk, the Nephilim of Riverbend [Sporadic updates, but at least 1/month]

I...wasn't sure what to make of it all when the two were presenting me my choices. I never wanted to be, quite literally, a monster **** (in either interpretation), but I had apparently been chosen for some reason...

That reason would soon become clear to me.

Of the 'cores' available to me, I assumed the Arcane one to be the least...****-y, even if it would kinda mind control people to like me more. But that was only if I had sex with them. So long as I don't have sex with someone that doesn't already like me, and would be at least a little willing to follow my orders, I should be fine on that front. Plus, a 20% boost to all spells seemed like a lot.

Boy was I wrong when compared to some other bonuses. Between the races and the other boons, 20% was nearly nothing!

Anyway, getting to size, I didn't really want to be tiny relative to everyone else, even if I had played a few halflings and gnomes before in games. But I didn't want to be huge either, since it'd be difficult to maneuver around a house unless it was built for that size. Human size it is, then. That bonus to class experience is a neat bonus, too.

Jeez, that's a lot of races... Hold on... I could get together with the Demon King if I become a demon? That'd be pretty cool...but the mana drain from slime is good, too, especially combined with my Arcane core. If only these two bickering gods would tell me quite how common magic was so I'd know if the magic resistance was worth it. Hell, I'll go with Devil for my race. That 200% increase in my spell power would be pretty helpful, too.

Oh... my new 'package'... I probably should have seen this coming, with all their focus on **** people... Without thinking, I hit the Standard package, before a second menu popped up. Tentacles? That's a lot of options for those... Lactation? That might be a good thing to have, and I'd be lying if I didn't want to be able to make women's boobs bigger. Well, if I was going to be reincarnated, I might as well indulge myself a little, so I selected the Lactation Toxin and the BE Toxin, along with some Basic Tentacles. However, I accidentally 'clicked' a few more times than intended when getting to the add-ons. For said add-ons, one of them was greyed out, so I only payed attention to mindbreak and ryona features. Inflicting actual pain during sex was a no-go, but the aphrodisiac effect of Mindbreak intrigued me, so I picked it.

Monster powers...that was a lot to take in. My gaze was immediately drawn to Final Form. It seemed like I couldn't activate it at will, but I would definitely feel like a boss with it.

Next were the classes... I had a lot invested in magic already, but I was still torn on whether I should take Sorcerer. In the end, I decided that magic could probably do a lot more than a guy with a shield or an axe, even if the Sorcerer was stereotypically a glass cannon... Why wasn't the 'screen' changing? Oh, I got another class from being Human sized. I guessed if I ever ran out of mana, being able to tank damage was essential, so I chose Knight for my second class.

A 'cheat'? Well, if everyone was cheating, it wasn't really unfair then. Pro Gamer HUD seemed pretty good, but I also took a closer look at Hybridization and Hero's Soul. An extra class or race would be super helpful... Wait, I wanted Slime too, right? An infernal slime sounded a little weird, but it wasn't unheard of on Earth... Screw it, let's become a demonic slime...or a slimy devil? I guess I'll see how that works out.

Oh, apparently we're talking about 'my enemies' now...and my jaw dropped...

After all this time?...

I was so lost in thought that I didn't notice the similar feeling of speeding through the cosmos, not until I was apparently met with another go-, oh, this one's just an angel. When 'he' (I wasn't convinced) offered me the chance to change some things up, I eagerly accepted, immediately being brought to another prompt to change my 'core' (still unsure what exactly that is). I wasn't set on any of them in particular, but...I would become a demon... I need to be able to talk to Sakurai. Beautiful... It'd remove my magic bonus, but it'd definitely help me to blend in with humanity better.

More races...not a lot of options like before, but...I'm pretty sure I could become a nephilim if I switch out Slime with Angel... I'll take that chance. They're probably uncommon, so word would spread of me quickly, but that might help me get on the heroes' radar quicker, too.

Oaths? I could become a lot stronger with those. In a world of gods, I'd honestly be an idiot to not Respect Sacred Ground. I didn't feel like I'd ever need to hurt innocent people, and basically anyone I'd be fighting would be exempt anyway, so Love Humanity was pretty good as well. The perks themselves, I didn't see becoming useful immediately, but boy was I glad when I could take four blessings and two miracles.

Humanity and Warmth were no-brainers, especially for fitting in with humans. 'Instant-**** effects'...does that include things that just deal more damage than I have health? Either way, Angelic Protection seemed pretty good, too. For my fourth one...I didn't know what I should do. Domain and Immaculate Conception seemed good, but God's Eye was what took my final choice. Information is everything, after all.

I was honestly underwhelmed by the miracles. I was tempted to take Ariel with me, just for shits and giggles, but my first choice ended up being Pure Land. I didn't have an exact reason to choose that over the others, but a permanent stat boost and passive experience gain was a huge benefit, even if location-based. The Mark of Submission intrigued me too. Did that Runa Runa lady have one of these? Either way, it might prove to be a good idea to have a few monster slaves in case either the 'Light' or 'Dark' ended up coming after me. If it was the Light, I could explain how my mark was different from others, and if it was the Dark, my mark should be different enough that it could be claimed as some kind of brand or religious rite for a secretive sect of some god...I should probably do some research on the gods when I get the chance.

With all that, my 'character sheet', for lack of a better term, showed up, and I looked through all the choices I...had...made... That's probably not good... I apparently grabbed the Breeder add-on, as well. I sigh, knowing it can't be reversed now. Looks like I need to be extra careful if/when I have sex...

Barely another moment passes before I speed through the cosmos once more, falling towards the planet down below...
