Chapter 18
by Lawless
What next?
During the training, Izuku interacts with some people from his own class.
Izuku felt himself deflate at bit, standing on the sidelines with his other student council reps, and Iida as his third on the off chance either he or Momo were indisposed. They were watching their respective classes interact for the first time, and it was... not looking great.
"At least it hasn't turned into a street fight?" He hedged, scratching his hair as he watched Bakugou Kasumi shout at some kid from 1-B who had green hair and a head reminiscent of an insect, like a mantis. It was not helped when the same boy yelled right back, only further spurring on the explosive blond. "That's... Togaru Kamakiri, right?"
"Yeah..." Itsuka sighed, shaking her head. "You'll have to forgive him. He can't help but respond in kind, be it kindness or aggression. He's also a battle junkie. He's asked about setting up spars between classes since day one."
"Can't say I blame him though!" Setsuna grinned, looking at Kirishima as he ran neck and neck with his opponent, a boy with white-grey hair (Depending on who you were asking) with a natural domino mask made from his tan eyebrows and pale white eyes with pinprick pupils. They were wearing weighted jackets, weighted pants, weighted ankle bracelets and... were those weighted neck braces? "GO TETSU! YOU CAN DO IT! SHOW THAT COPYCAT YOU'RE THE BETTER MAN!" She shouted as loud as she could, echoing across the training field.
The green-haired vice-president laughed loudly as what could only be described as a Berserker's roar of determination answered her as both kicked it up a notch, Tetsutetsu in response to Setsuna, and Kirishima in response to Tetsutetsu.
"It's kinda a shame our classes are keeping mostly to themselves, though." Momo said, looking between two groups of about ten to twelve students each consisting of either 1-A or 1-B solely. "I'd figure everyone would at least be amenable to having more people to measure themselves against."
"It is most shameful that our classmates are **** to meet their peers!" Tenya loudly proclaimed, as he usually did with a stern look on his face. "We are all here to become heroes, bastions of societies continued stability! The heroes of the next generation are disinclined to see eye to eye, not animosity!"
Izuku shook his head at Iida, though he couldn't help but agree. "You're right, Iida. They do need to get along, but you can't expect it right away." He reached up to pat the taller boy on the shoulder as he offered a smile to the rigid scion of the Iida family. "We've probably gotten used to training within our respective classes, so working alongside new people is throwing them off their game. Not everyone has you or your brother's ability to work with a variety of people, you know? Just give them a few days, and it should be fine."
The mantis headed boy went flying as Bakugo sent him flying with an explosion, the bombshell bombshell roaring a stream of curses at him and a blond kid who was posing ridiculously while pointing and launching an unheard tirade at her.
"Foooooor the most part." Izuku slapped his face a bit. "I'm sorry about her. She's always been hyper aggressive."
"Oh, you knew her from your younger days?" Setsuna asked, leaning in with a cheeky grin. "She your childhood sweetheart or something?"
Izuku gave her his best impression of Aizawa's stare, though he didn't think it was something he could pull off yet as she just smiled even more impishly at him. "No. I'm pretty sure she hates me actually. But then again, she's treated everyone like she hates them ever since we were little."
"So she's in denial, got it." Setsuna laughed as she threw back her head.
"Pretty sure she's not, but think whatever you want I guess." Izuku said with a sigh. "Alright. Iida, if you could go over there and see what's going on so we can stop it from happening again please? Momo, would you try making contact with the big group of 1-B students and try getting them to agree to mingle? I'll be doing the same to our class."
"It would be my pleasure!" Tenya bowed quickly before running off, his quirk at full power, towards the bombastic blondes.
"Of course." Momo nodded with a more neutral expression. "Hopefully I can make some headway, but if they're as stubborn as some of our classes..."
"I trust you can do it." Izuku gave her a thumbs up and a full tooth grin, making her blush a bit before turning away.
"Yeah... no. Setsuna, go with her to make our batch of idiots know not be too stupid." Itsuka sighed, shaking her head. "I'll go deal with Monoma."
With that, the group of studnet council reps divided up, with Kendo running to catch up with the much faster Iida who was already laying into Bakugo and Monoma. Momo and Setsuna left at a more calm pace, striking up a conversation over who knows what.
Izuku jogged over to the class of 1-A, taking mental roll call of who was there. Yuga Aoyama, the class pretty boy and possible french foreign exchange student (No one was absolutely sure, and Aoyama wasn't telling for all his grand proclemations) was running the parkour track, trying to work in spins and flips and rolls into his repertoire, probably to further refine them to work with his quirk to both move and attack in a variety of ways. Not that it was going well, but he got an A for effort at least.
Mina Ashido was skating along a smaller track using her quirk, acid. The track was used to help train a fast moving person at being able to turn easier. While it wasn't being used by the pink-skinned peppy girl, the ability for walls to be raised around the track that would shock the person running the course were a possibility, giving further incentive to learn how to turn on a dime, sometimes in incredibly tight turns.
Tsuyu was on another parkour training course, though this one had turrets filled with tennis balls shooting at her, forcing her to dodge at increasingly fast paced speeds and awkward angles. It seems she also set up targets to strike out with her long, prehensile tongue, further increasing the difficulty of her training. They still hadn't replaced her suit, as it was hugging her body perhaps a little too tightly...
Uraraka, the perpetually blushing girl, was running with several light weight plates on her back, ones not effected by her quirk of Zero Gravity, though she had a few tied up with a rope that she was dragging along like balloons as she ran. Izuku was able to avoid paying attention of her bouncing chest, which seemed to be under permanent effect of her quirk or something as they always seemed to lag behind any movement the otherwise innocent girl made just slightly enough to draw a person's eyes to the weird inconsistency.
Ojiro Mashirao, yet another blond classmate of Izuku's was one of the few who hadn't kept to himself. The martial artist had sought out a chubby boy with a sleepy look on his face. Though he was anything but lethargic as Ojiro and... Nirengeki Shoda, that was his name! Nirengeki Shoda battled each other in a rather intense sparring match. The chubby boy's quirk, which let him apply the **** of his movements twice over, or rather to apply them again regardless of physics, made him excellent for the tailed boy who needed someone above average proficiency in hand to hand in order to keep up with his training.
Denki Kaminari, the less blond and more tan haired kid with a black streak like lightning through his bangs was using target gloves to tank hits from an amped up Rikido Sato, though he looked like he could be anywhere else as more than a few bruises covered his exposed skin as he tried to keep up with the sugar rushing teen's attacks.
Koji Koda was another student who was not afraid to mingle, though as usual he was more being talked to by a shaggy boy from 1-B who looked more like he belonged as a faculty member for all the hair on his face as they lightly jogged. Although he could also have easily been Hound Dogs son, for that feral look they both naturally had, even if the boy from 1-B was smiling and talking in a surprisingly soft voice, which the animal speaking student of 1-A seemed to appreciate.
Mezo Shoji, the absolute tallest student in their class with six arms, was dead-lifting some weights mixed in with lunges. His was a very simple workout routine, at least.
Kyoka Jiro was not far from the giant, lifting weights with her earphone jack earlobes as she talked with a floating set of clothing that was also lifting weights, which would have to be Hagakure Toru. Who Izuku's trained eye couldn't help but notice she wasn't wearing a bra or underwear... though that was normal for the girl.
Is it just because she's invisible she doesn't worry about things like that? Does she honestly forget them? Or, perhaps she likes going around without them? Izuku wondered to himself, but quickly shook his head. He didn't need such thoughts to plague him about his female classmates. He had more than enough girls to keep his libido focused away from the females at school.
As a surprising team up, Hanta Sero and Shoto Todoroki were engaged in the weirdest game of cat and mouse with each other. Sero was using his tape to swing about, flipping and changing his momentum incredibly quickly while Shoto was shooting his Ice in an effort to trap the boy. Of course, Sero was also shooting tape at the son of the Number Two hero, but instead of dodging the boy just kept throwing up walls of Ice and moving so that his vision was never obscured for long.
Lastly, the shortest person in class by far, Mineta Minoru, was running around with some weights like Uraraka. He was also dropping some of his hair spheres, the ones from his quirk, behind him as he ran. Probably to make his second lap a breeze since the boy would just bounce off the otherwise sticky balls.
As Izuku looked around, he wondered who would be productive to talk to in order to make merging classes for a bit easier.
