During the American Civil War

It has been roughly a year already since Kahhori left her tribe from her homeland in Akwesasne at the borders between Canada and the United States behind and travel down south by horse after her tribe's shaman instructed her to do so. When she asked him why should she be the one to do so. The shaman, known as Eagle Chief, replied that he received visions from the inhabitants of the Sky World, telling him of the man known in English as the Union Man that will brought peace and prosperity back to the nations on the Turtle Island that is consumed by war scare here in the north and military invasions in the south.

When she asked the shaman how can she know that it is him when she found him. The shaman replied that she will know when the defeats fell upon him and his fellow warriors at the hands of the slavers again and again both on lands and in the seas. And it will be her duty to heal him with the powers blessed to her by the Sky Woman.

Right now, she is deep into the lands known as South Carolina that belonged to the secessionists who wanted to maintain slavery in searching of the man known as the Union Man. And according to the newspapers she read since she can read, write and speak in English, the timing is quite correct since the Union had been defeated both on lands in the previous year at the Battle of Fredericksburg and recently in the seas at Fort Wagner and Charleston.

As she's riding her horse along the dirty road, she hears the sounds of gunshots. Curious that could potentially it be the Union Man she is looking for or not, she decided to follow the sounds to their sources. In the short amount of time, she found a black man is firing back at a group of four Confederate cavalrymen as he is making his stand behind a pile of logs and collapsed trees with a fatally wounded comrade who is a blonde white man.

As soon as her gazed fell upon the injured white man, Kahhori suddenly heard the voice through ears from the winds.

"The Union Man..." The mysterious voices from the winds said and upon hearing that, she sets out to help him and his African-American comrade. However, she needed to be careful to make sure that she will not be spotted by the enemies.

As she's slowly getting closer and closer, she can see that white man's injuries are quite fatal and he could died of blood losses due to the multiple wounds on his body despite that they have been wrapped up with bandages already.
