John wanted a daughter. More specifically, an 18 year old daughter who never outgrew her Disney princess phase. He thought it would be fun having an adult daughter act like a spoiled, bratty princess.
He selected Dua Lipa to fill this role.
Once he found the singer, she was zapped and given her new life as Angie Doe, John's spoiled princess daughter.
