Driders

Driders are centaur-like creatures, appearing as a dark elf from the waist up, with their lower portions replaced by the abdomen and legs of immense spiders. They are most commonly found in dark caves. They speak elvish language and are very intelligent. They can produce many poisons with various effects and are immune to the majority of them. Theirs main objectives is to gather food their spider’s children and wombs to lay their eggs. Driders were created by magic by the dark elves which kept the enchantment secret to kept power on them by regulating their numbers. They can accumulate magic throw sex but only produce normal spiders. So, since the darks elves stop to create them, they're on the verge of extinction. The driders and theirs spiderlings can also produces large amount of cobweb with different characteristics, it can be sticky or not, elastic or rigid and some can even become rigid on impact but soft if you push in slowly. In all case it’s very resistant and if the density of silk is enough only them can cut throw it.
