Drew Fisher - 25 - Bi girl looking for love

"Gah, stupid ad! Why is the x so hard to tap?" I swipe out of my phone's app store, figuring that that should be my sign to stop playing that game. My phone automatically swiped a few pages on the home screen to display a new app that just finished downloading.

"What the... QuestMaster? Some sort of task list app?" I tap it out of curiosity, opening up a fairly bare-bones UI.

Looks like I'm the QuestMaster... Clicking another tab displays three slots for "targets." Goals, perhaps? Tapping a target slot, instead of a text field, a list of names appears.

"Oliver Roswell, Maxine Wendt, Benjamin Mills... These are people I know. Did it pull my contact list? Lucille Sanders, don't know her..." I take another look at the list. The names I know are in a rough order of when I last talked to them. Roommate, neighbor, coworker. Lucille must have been the woman who I mixed paint for at the end of my shift. Said something about getting ready to open a cafe. How could an app know this?

My finger lifted from the screen. The app has thrown a confirmation pop-up for a brief moment before a loud clatter from Oliver in the kitchen caused me to jump.

"Hey, Ollie, you okay?" I call through my door.

"Yeah, I'm - I'm fine, pretty sure." I don't know, Oliver sounds pretty shaken. I set my phone down and poke my head out the door.

Oliver is standing in the middle of the kitchen, broken glass and hot cocoa pooled on the floor in front of him. He gives me a sheepish smile "Can you grab the dustpan?"

"- I forgot how hot the glass mugs get, wasn't expecting it." We'd cleaned up the kitchen pretty quick, and Ollie changed into some dry pants and socks. "Sorry for scaring you, Drew. And for breaking the mug."

"Don't even worry about it. I'm glad you weren't hurt though." I meant it, those mugs were some my mom bought thinking they were nice double walls, so she gave them to me after actually buying the ones she wanted.

Returning to my room, I remember the app. Picking up my phone, the screen is on a new profile.
