Chapter 4
by NicoDezelar258
Who is the mysterious person?
Drallio Bestoll, warrior mage
Drallio laughs as he takes a draught from his mug of ale. "You paid nearly a third extra in just one night. An assassin of your stature will run out of money quickly," he says as he sits his mug back on the counter. Xavier had brandished one of his daggers, pressing the tip slightly against Drallio's stomach.
"I would keep my words to myself if I was you. I don't need an adventure to tell me what to do," he growls under his breath before resheathing his dagger.
His food and ale came out, and he dug in immediately. As soon as the first mug was drained, a second had appeared. When asked, the orc replied that the wild haired mage had paid for enough drinks to compensate the entire store.
Moving closer to the mage, Xavier looked him over out of the corner of his eyes. "Why did you pay for me?" he questioned him under his breath.
"Well you looked like you could use a good drink, and perhaps a drinking buddy. How about a little contest? One to drink the most mugs gets one thing from the other," the young mage asks holding out a hand.
Xavier looks at the outstretched hand, and clasps it tightly. "Deal." he says as the first of the mugs went up, and then came slamming down.
Who wins the contest?
