Dr. Stone Encourages The Fantasy of Reed Impregnating Another Woman

"He was just so excited," Sue Storm said, holding the teacup with both hands. "I don't think I've seen him that aroused. Even when we were making a baby."

"And you weren't excited?" Dr. Stone asked. "Not even a little bit?"

The Invisible Woman mused over the thought.

"It's exciting as a fantasy," Sue said. "I mean, the whole cheating thing, the cuckquean thing. It's kind of hot. But you don't know Reed. Sometimes when he gets an idea, he just runs with it. What do I do if he actually gets it in his head to pursue this idea? What if he really wants to impregnate another woman?"

"Reproductive issues are a common cause of stress in relationships," Dr. Stone said, her words and tone carefully neutral. "I could talk to him about it, if you'd like."

Sue looked up from her teacup.

Dr. Stone was dressed relatively conservatively today. A black pantsuit with a white jacket. No cleavage showing, blonde hair tied back in a pigtail, those huge round, rimless glasses perched on her nose. Attractive, but not threatening.

"A consultation. As part of your therapy," Dr. Stone said. "I've treated couples before. It's often good to meet with them individually, before we have sessions with all of us together. Our respective sessions stay strictly confidential, you understand. Nothing you say here will get back to Reed. But I might be able to gain some insight into the situation. Prevent this from bubbling over into an issue between you two."

Sue gave a little sigh of relief. That actually sounded...good. Rational. And a relief, because it meant she didn't need to talk with Reed about it just yet.

"I can ask him," Sue said. "He might say yes. Although I have to warn you, Reed's so smart, he seldom gives much credence to therapy."

Dr. Stone smiled. For a moment, the sun seemed to catch her glasses and turn them into two circles of fire.

"Oh, don't worry. I'm sure I can handle Reed Richards and his impregnation fantasies."
