Does Dr. Stone give Sue Storm her pills?
Dr. Stone Does Not Give Sue The Pills
Moonstone stared at the discombobulated superheroine. The Invisible Woman was half-naked, stressed out of her mind, keeping Atlantean Space Nazis at bay with the strength of her will, and on her literal doorstep begging for drugs. Outwardly, Dr. Stone kept a calm demeanor. Inside, Moonstone was cheering.
She was winning.
"Susan, I'm really concerned you might be developing a dependency on these pills," Dr. Stone said. "If you've gone through them this quickly...well, I really don't think I should give you any more."
"Are you fucking me!?" Sue's voice was shrill. "I'm in the middle of an alien invasion and you won't give me my fucking medication!? What kind of doctor are you?"
Dr. Stone crossed her hands under her chest, emphasizing her breasts.
"Language, Susan. I am a responsible doctor. Which is why I am not giving you any more pills until you finish dealing with the current situation and we can discuss your pill usage like rational people."
It was a calculated gambit. Sue Storm was distracted, but not enough for Moonstone to be able to freely use her powers. She was counting on the Invisible Woman being off-balance, with the added stress of being denied pills to push her over the edge.
Sue's eyes narrowed.
"I could take the pills," she said, her voice low and threatening. "You can't hide them from me."
"No, I can't," Dr. Stone agreed, and took a step forward, nearly shoving her bosom into Sue's face. "But I am counting on you, as a heroine, not to act like a common junkie criminal."
The Invisible Woman took a deep breath. She didn't back down. Her blue eyes were icy. An Atlantean Space Nazi managed to pull out a small hand-held weapon and was trying to aim it around the invisible force field.
