What does Dr. Stone think about Mako?

Dr. Stone Approves Sue Storm Spending More Time With Mako

Chapter 7 by Zeebop Zeebop

"A strapping young Atlantean man," Dr. Stone said. "And you found him naked?"

"Oh, stop," Sue said. "He has a slit that it retracts into, and I got him a pair of swim trunks as soon as possible. He's just...lost, and lonely."

"Well, I approve," the psychiatrist said. "In fact, this might be an excellent opportunity. You're not adopting him, are you?"

"No, he's far too old," Sue said. "But I've got Ben teaching him how to weight lift and wrestle, and Reed's decided he can help the kids with their Atlantean language lessons. Johnny is happy to have someone closer to his own age, and is trying to find appropriate clothes..."

"But what do you do with him?" Dr. Stone asked.

"Try to teach him how to be a hero," Sue said. "I've taken him around to the Young Avengers, and the Avengers, and even the Great Lakes Avengers. We did a tour of the Raft—sort of a scared-straight thing, show him how much it would suck if he went to prison. I'd like Namor to bond with him, but I don't think either of them are ready for that yet."

"I see," Dr. Stone said. "And have you tried more—social bonding? One on one?"

Sue sipped her tea, brow furrowed.

"I'm not sure I know what you mean," she said.

Dr. Stone's head tilted back, and the light from the sun through the window caught her glasses and made them twin circles of fire, as though her eyes glowed from within. Sue Storm's eyelids suddenly went heavy, as Moonstone's gravimetric pulse knocked her brain into a state normally achieved after killing an entire bottle of champagne on her own.

"Eat out. Go to museums. See movies," the psychiatrist said. "You want him to grow closer to you, don't you? Seduce him to the right side of the law?"

Sue blinked, her head suddenly unsteady on her neck.

"Yes," she said.

"And it wouldn't hurt to wear something a little provactive on your outings. Show a little more skin. Young men like that," Dr. Stone went on.

"Okay," Sue murmurred, the tea cup clattering on its plate. Dr. Stone reached forward and took it from Sue's hand.

"After all, it's not like you're dating him, exactly," Dr. Stone said. "But you want him to feel welcome. Encourage his interest."

"Okay," Sue said.

They repeated it several more times, just to make sure the suggestions sunk in. Moonstone placed emphasis on the word "dating." Mako was, after all, a horny young man—and the Invisible Woman was a MILF. It wouldn't be long until something happened.
