Dr. McBlurry

The world was growing numb around Chae, and she would have succumbed to the darkness of fainting if not for the rapid rushing of water leaving the bus almost as quickly as it had flooded.

She coughed and sputtered, gasping loudly for hair. A few scratches covered her face from when the windows had shattered, but otherwise, she seemed to be primarily unscathed. Her glasses weren't anywhere in sight so everything was a bit fuzzy at far, but up close she could still see enough.

"Miss! Miss wake up!"

The bus groaned in the rushing of water and Chae squinted. She knew they were not on ground level anymore. The other buildings were simply too close and up high with their level, even from her blurred vision she could tell that much.

"WAKE UP!"

Her fingers took the woman's pulse. It was strong. She must just be in shock. Chae unfastened her own seatbelt. It had done its job in keeping her safe this far. Now the rest was up to her.

"Can you tell me your name?"

Chae's doctorly bedside manner kicked in despite the situation.

"I am Dr. Chae Wu. Can you tell me who you are?"
