Dr. Curio's Mission and Bestiary

Thirty years ago, Dr. Curio left the vault to research the surface. She returned briefly, and some of her findings were recorded. She then left again, but this time she never came back. Her journals are all missing. All that Vault F has left of her are a few of her belongings and her legacy: the notes that she was able to enter in the computer about her experiences on the surface. The Bestiary in the Pip-Girl would not exist without her. The former Overseer had this to say about Dr. Curio’s mission and her disappearance: “She was a brilliant scientist, especially for being so young. She was never meant to leave the Vault. She did it because of a girl. Dr. Curio loved Luiza more than anything, and it was easy to see why. They adored each other. Luiza was a tall, strapping girl and you would often hear them pounding away in their room or see Luiza with hickeys on every part of her body. Well, Luiza received a mission to the surface, and she came back missing a certain body part. It had been bitten off by a mutant, you see. Dr. Curio was devastated. She decided to go and gather information so that in the future, we could be better prepared for what was waiting for us out there. She’s a hero. Unquestionably Vault F’s finest daughter.”

A life-size statue of Dr. Curio stands in the corner of the Overseer’s office. Her slim figure is historically accurate, as are her large, thick glasses. It’s rumored that the sculptor took some liberties with the size of the bulge between the statue’s legs.

Below are some of the reports that Dr. Curio brought back from her first venture into the Wasteland.
