The next morning, Robert and Jane wake up early for work. Robert checks his agenda for the day before grabbing his shower, and then heads downstairs to get some of the breakfast he has been smelling for the past 10 minutes.

“I forgot to tell her she is off your morning shower duty until after the surprise.” Jane says. “It’s kind of funny, but I’ll reassure her.”

“After we talk to Alexia, would you like to talk to Lucia?” Robert asks.

“We both can.” Jane says. “I think she and I should have lunch together today too. Maybe you and Alexia can today too.”

“Sounds good, couldn’t hurt to mix things up.” Robert says.

“That’s fine, Lucia. And moving forward you can use Jane if you wish, as long as no one other than the four of us are around.” Jane says.

“Thank you.” Lucia says.

“I’d also suggest either getting me to help carry things up, or opening the packages downstairs, and carrying it up piece by piece.” Robert says. “If you try to carry it up, even with Lucia’s help, you could end up hurting yourselves on the stairs.”

“Thank you, Master. I’ll probably just do it piece by piece, maybe with Lucia to help with some of the small stuff.” Alexia says. “I’d like to prove the two of us can handle this.”

“I understand, but call for me if you run into trouble.” Robert demands. “I don’t want to have to take either of you to a hospital right now.”

“Definitely not.” Alexia says. “And I will call if we get in over our heads.”

Alexia closes her mouth, and swallows. A moment later she says. “I hope I can always show my Mistress that I am a good girl.”

“I have the knowledge, but you two have the youth and stamina to actually do it. Together the three of us can rock his world.” Jane says. “Before we get started with our talk, Alexia, did you bring down the lunch dishes from upstairs?”

“No, Mistress.” Alexia says, realizing she completely forgot.

“Go do that, and ask Robert if he needs anything else. Let him know that the three of us will be talking for a bit, and if the door is still shut, we are still busy, and he can text or call me if it’s urgent.” Jane instructs. “I need to talk to Lucia for a few more moments, please wait in the hall when you are done, and she will get you when we are ready for you.”

After Alexia leaves, closing the door behind her, Jane says. “I’m about to bring up how to integrate the new girls into the rotation. We are talking about at least three, but possible five to six, between orange cards and red cards. I need to know what your limits are, both with me, and with any new girls.”

“I’m not really sure, Mistress.” Lucia says. “I do find some girls pretty, but I haven’t ever even kissed a girl.”

“You’ve seen pictures of Mei and Amber. Do you find either of them particularly pretty?” Jane asks.

“Mei is beautiful.” Lucia says, with a tone that’s not quite jealousy. “I worry that Master will like her more than me.”

“I’m sure he will like her very much, but he also likes you very much. What about Amber?” Jane asks.

“I find her to be a bit intimidating, and she’s just so thin.” Lucia says. “I think I prefer girls my own age, I find them less scary.”

“How would you feel if I paired you up with Mei occasionally to play with Robert?” Jane asks. “You would help her learn what Robert likes, and if you both want, you could take it further. You would still get your one-on-one time with him of course.”

“I’m fine to try it.” Lucia says. “If I don’t, I’d get less time with Master Robert, right?”

“Probably.” Jane responds. “Realistically, Robert only has so much time in a day.”

“I understand, Mistress.” Lucia responds. “I’ll do my best, and let you know if it’s not working for me.”

“Good.” Jane responds. “So, let’s talk about last night. Was it what you were expecting, or fearing?”

“I was worried you were going to ask me to clean you up.” Lucia admits. “You are very pretty of course, I’m just not ready for something like that right now.”

“I wouldn’t ask that of you, you haven’t submitted to me.” Jane says. “Cleaning up Robert is as far as I plan to push things down that path until and unless you choose to submit to me. However, if the two of us ever want to play with Robert together, there will likely be some incidental, or maybe not, touching. What are your limits with that right now?

“Hands are fine, Mistress.” Lucia says. “I’d rather not do oral, like I mentioned.”

“He will like it more with both of us, though.” Lucia admits. “I’m in. Can I go first though?”

“That’s Robert’s choice. If Alexia doesn’t mind, I can steer him towards you a bit though.” Jane says.

“That’s fine.” Alexia says. “I’m sure you will find a way to keep me busy, Mistress.”

“I did have an idea.” Jane admits. “We will see if Robert is ok with it. After all, this is his surprise.” She continues. “Are you both wearing your plugs? Any issues with them?”

“I’m on the second plug.” Lucia says, with a bit of a smug smile. “I swapped over this morning.”

“I’m still on the first one, I should go swap soon though. Sleeping in has put me behind schedule.” Alexia admits.

“Excellent. Tomorrow I’m leaving work early to help you both prepare. We will be doing this before dinner.” Jane says. “Probably right when Robert gets off work. Make sure you are both wearing your middle or large plugs tomorrow, starting at lunch time.”

“Yes, Mistress.” Both Lucia and Alexia say.

“Any questions?” Jane asks, and they both shake their heads no.

“The next thing we need to talk about are profiles. Obviously you two can review them on your own, but I’d like to go through some now, to make sure we are looking at the same things.” Jane says. “Why don’t you both move your chairs around to this side of the desk, so you can see my screen.”

Once the girls are settled, Jane continues. “We have a few things we need to think about when reviewing profiles. First, we need to consider age. I’d rather not take anyone over thirty, because we don’t know if the government is going to remove women from homes when they reach the age of forty. I suspect that mothers won’t be removed, but if the woman has no children, I wouldn’t be surprised if they are taken.”

“What if we find someone who is otherwise a great fit though?” Lucia asks.

“Then flag the profile, and make sure to take some notes as to why they are a great fit, and then we can always interview them before the auction to find out how they feel about kids. I think the only way I’d be comfortable with it would be if they want kids ASAP, and are a perfect fit for the house.” Jane says.

“Ok, I can do that.” Lucia says.

“Second, we need to consider skills. I’m sure you two have ideas of skill sets that would be useful moving forward, but I think a teacher is something I’d like to get early, preferably someone used to working with smaller children. That person could both watch kids in the house and educate them. I’d rather not send our kids to school to be indoctrinated if we can help it.” Jane explains.

“That’s a great idea.” Alexia says. “I know I’ve mentioned it before, but someone who knows how to repair things could be useful too. A plumber, electrician, etc., if we can find one.”

“Yes, that would be useful. Also, I think we’ve mentioned this, but long term we need to find a bigger house, and Robert and I have always wanted to have property. Someone who is used to farming, taking care of animals, or otherwise knows how to be self-sufficient would be huge.” Jane says.

“Third, we should consider how they would fit from a personality standpoint. We obviously want everyone to get along, at least as much as is possible. It might be hard to judge that based on the profiles, but some women will have notes on their profile that may give us an idea. We don’t need someone coming in who is going to upset the peacefulness of our house. Robert and I don’t deal well with loud and angry people.” Jane says.

“Fourth, I’d prefer women who are going to fully integrate into the house, and that includes submitting to at least Robert. If we find someone with the right skill set who isn’t interested in that, we can still consider them, but you both know things will be awkward if half of the women in the house aren’t really participating. It’ll create an us versus them situation.” Jane says.

“I didn’t think Robert really wanted that many women who actually wanted to sleep with him.” Lucia objects.

“He doesn’t, or thinks he doesn’t, but I think it’s at least somewhat necessary.” Jane says. “My job is to think of things that he doesn’t, and that includes thinking of long term consequences like this. Robert would take a bunch of single moms who are in their late thirties who don’t want to participate, because he would feel bad for them, and then we’d end up with a problem if the government decided to take them away, or insisted that they get pregnant. I want to keep trouble out of the house.”

“I guess that makes sense.” Lucia says. “I never really thought about it that way.”

“You are still new to Robert.” Jane says. “You’ll see it over time, he’s got a big heart, and doesn’t always think of the big picture when he sees a damsel in distress. There is a reason I make final decisions when possible, and try to narrow down possibilities if that isn’t a guaranteed option.”

“Lastly, along the same lines, I want to pick women that Robert will find attractive. You probably don’t know how to judge that yet really, but Robert likes cute more than strikingly beautiful, and tends to prefer women who are shorter than him. If everything else checks out, and you aren’t sure on looks, then flag them for me to look at, and I’ll at least be able to tell if Robert might be interested.” Jane says. “Again, if it’s a specialized skill set, or otherwise perfect fit, you can still flag them, and we may make an exception.”

“Any questions?” Jane asks. “Or things I haven’t thought of?”

“What about ethnicity?” Alexia asks. “Is Robert into women of all colors?”

“We won’t eliminate based on that.” Jane says. “Robert is obviously into Latinas.” Jane nods at the girls. “And I think he’s always had a thing for Asian girls, but we’ve never had an Asian sub. We’ve also never had a Black sub, and I’m not sure if that’s an attractiveness thing, or just that it’s never happened. We tended to let women approach us, and they were almost always white. “I won’t.” Lucia promises. “Have you heard anything else about birth control? You mentioned women needing to have kids earlier, what have you heard about that?”

Jane sighs. “It’s not official yet, but someone who has been leaking things that have all been true so far says there is going to be a baby quota. It sounds like it’s starting at one baby per adult in the house. There hasn’t been any mention of whether each woman has to have one, or if it’s just a per house quota. The same leaker says birth control isn’t going to be allowed, except for wives who have a medical exemption.”

“And you feel fairly sure this is accurate information?” Lucia asks.

“I suspect so, but I can’t be sure.” Jane says.

“In that case I want to lose my virginity this week.” Lucia says. “I’d like to be the first to have Robert’s child.”

“Like I said the other day, that’s between you and Robert. If you can convince him, you have my blessing.” Jane says, and then adds with a smirk. “Do I get to watch?”

“You can watch, but I want it to be romantic. Do you mind just watching?” Lucia asks.

“I won’t interfere. Maybe just me, in the corner, enjoying a toy while I observe.” Jane says.

“That’s fine. Thank you, Mistress.” Lucia says, realizing she hasn’t been using the title much since Jane gave her permission to leave it off.

“What about for you? Anything special that you like in a woman we should look for?” Alexia asks.

“The concubines are for Robert. If any of them are interested in me, that’s a bonus. I just got very lucky with you.” Jane smiles affectionately at Alexia.

“But it couldn’t hurt if we found someone that might be more likely to be interested in you, and vice versa.” Lucia adds. “It’s not like Alexia doesn’t work well for both of you.”

“We’ll see how it goes. If I see someone that I particularly appreciate, I’ll consider flagging them, if they are also a good fit for Robert. For now, I have my Alexia, and that’s plenty for me.” Jane says, patting Alexia’s knee affectionately.

Jane opens the website, and pulls up the first page of profiles. “It looks like we can star our favorites, but there isn’t a place for notes, so we should each make sure to write down their ID number and any notes for our favorites.” The profile summary page includes a photo of each woman’s face, as well as their age and ID number. The border around most is red, with a few being orange. “The color must mean the card level.”

“Is there a way to filter?” Lucia asks.

Jane looks around the page, and eventually finds some basic options. “Looks like we can filter on age, ethnicity, children, and card status. We can start with orange cards, there shouldn’t be that many.” Jane adds that filter, and the number drops to sixty-two. “That is a little easier to go through. Let’s see if we can do these together, at least until I get a call for work. Maybe we start by flagging all profiles that meet our criteria, and then going through them individually.”

The girls go through a dozen on the first page, flagging a few possibilities, but most are outside of the age brackets they want, or have children. On page two there is a surprise. “Fuck, that’s Dee.” Jane murmurs.

“Cheating ex Dee?” Lucia asks, and Jane nods.

“The one and only. She’s definitely not getting added, even though she otherwise meets the criteria.” Jane says. “She definitely fails on a few criteria, mostly being disruptive, even if we didn’t already have an awful experience with her.”

“Which one is she?” Alexia asks, peering at the screen. Jane moves the cursor over to her portrait. “She’s kind of ugly, isn’t she?”

“She’s a bit of a tomboy. Definitely more my taste than Robert’s, but I kind of fell for her early, and Robert went along with it when he saw how much I liked her.” Jane says, a bit defensively. “She isn’t exactly being photographed at her best there.”

“The photos do kind of look like mugshots.” Lucia says. “I think a lot of them are in shock, or were crying just before they took the photo.”

“Probably.” Jane says. “The smiles certainly don’t look genuine.” The girls manage to finish all sixty-two profiles, having flagged ten for further review. “I probably need to check on work, why don’t you two take the laptop and review those ten, and make some notes about each? Maybe each of you list your top three for me, and I’ll do the same, and we can compare notes later.”

The rest of the evening goes by quietly, apart from the furniture finally being delivered later in the day. Robert and Alexia manage to get it into the house before dark.

The next morning, the three women reassemble in Jane’s office to go over the profiles, and talk about the surprise that evening.

“So, who wants to start with their top three? And any that you think we shouldn’t consider at all?” Jane asks.

“I’ll start.” Lucia says. “Profile three is one I’m not sure about. She’s the only teacher of the group, I wouldn’t call her pretty, or Robert’s type as far as I can tell, but she’s certainly not ugly. It did say she had a husband who was also detained, I’m not sure if that is a problem…”

“I had the same concern.” Alexia says. “I think she’s otherwise a good fit though.”

“I think she’s worth interviewing.” Jane says. “I don’t know how many teachers we will have an opportunity to get, and we don’t want to end up without one. I want to keep her on the board; she made my top three just by being a teacher. Alexia, why don’t you share one of your favorites?”

“Three was one of mine as well, for the same reason. I also like five. She’s kind of cute, and it says she was a school nurse.” Alexia says.

“She’s a little older at twenty-eight, and her only qualification appears to be as a CNA, which is basically the lowest qualification you can get in the medical field. I’m not sure she’s Robert’s type either. I’d hate to bring in a bunch of women he isn’t into.” Jane says. “Lucia?”

“I didn’t have her on my top three. My school nurses didn’t really do much, I honestly don’t think most of them are any more qualified than I am. If she was an RN, a doctor, or something in between, I’d be arguing for her, but I don’t think a CNA is really worth a spot.” Lucia says.

“Let’s take her off the favorites list then, and she can be a backup option maybe.” Jane says.

“What did we think of seven?” Jane asks. “She’s young, perky, no real skills, but I’m sure Robert would enjoy her.”

“I actually know who she is.” Lucia says. “Cassie’s dad is rich, and she had an awful reputation in school. I don’t think Robert would appreciate a spoiled princess who bitches about everything, won’t help around the house, and might try sleeping with the neighbor. And I don’t think any of us want to catch whatever she has probably caught over the past few years.”

“Seven is off the list then.” Jane says, removing the favorite star next to her profile. “Do either of you know any of the other ones?”

“I knew one of the ones who didn’t make the cut.” Alexia says. “She worked with me, but I don’t think she’d be a good fit. I think she had a few kids.”

“Ok, let’s focus on the seven we have left.” Jane says, and one by one they go through the profiles, eliminating roughly half of them. The teacher was the only one with a skill set that was very interesting, and Jane mainly kept the rest based on looks and age. “Hopefully we only need to take two oranges, and Amber is supposed to test as an orange. If we get away with the teacher and her, that’s fine with me.”

“Have you talked to her yet?” Lucia asks.

“Not yet. Thank you for reminding me, I’m going to set a deadline of tomorrow for that. It’s Tuesday now, and Friday is the deadline for testing, so I probably need to hear from her by tomorrow in order for one of us to get her by Friday, and get her tested in time.” Jane says. “Let me message her master now.”

Jane logs into the site to message him, letting him know that she really wants to speak to her today, but if not, then tomorrow at the latest. They are about a two hour drive away, and she knows they will likely have to be the ones making the drive, as he wouldn’t be able to get around any checkpoints.

“Now, anything else you two want to talk about before we talk about tonight?” Jane asks.

“One thing.” Lucia says. “Are there any other exes we need to know about? Other than Dee?”

“Not really. There is probably only one that Robert would want to claim, and she isn’t local, and probably didn’t get detained anyhow.” Jane explains. “Most of our subs weren’t local, honestly.”

“Now, on to tonight. I’m off work at two, so we can prepare you for the big event. Go light at lunch, and I was thinking I could get us all takeout while you three cleanup afterward. Is Chinese ok with everyone?” Jane asks.
