Following the path furthest from them, the group find this path relatively straight. Rather than wind and bend, the group is met with angular walls and few outshoots from the main branch.

Any thoughts of this are interrupted, however, as the party meets a grim sight. Several cave toads litter the ground, thier corpses cut by a vicsious intrument, some in half, while others bare a large mortal wound. The curious thing about it is that the faces seem 'shocked', as if not expecting the blows.

"What in the hells did this?" Myria stated, inspecting the wounds. Unlike her own weapon, this was a burtal cut, it was meant for power, not finesse. It was brutal, but she wasn't going to argue the effectiveness of it.

"Perhaps an ally? They have vanquished these creatures, perhaps we can enlist thier services?" Cecilia mused, looking on ahead. She knew the wounds were fresh, and if the assailant was nearby, getting another ally would be welcome.

"Assuming its human. Other things may reside within the caves." Dew chimed in, noting the wounds with a slight shudder. There might be more dangerous things than cave toads here after all.

Moving on, the party hears the tell tale signs of battle in the distance,k the clash of steel and the **** cries of another cave toad.
