Door #1

Scythe chooses the door closest to him. It opens up onto a narrow stairwell, the top of which is impossible to see from the bottom. When he starts to climb, he immediately notices the stairs are wobbly and creak loudly with every step. His high heels make it even harder to keep his footing, and he's conscious of every little swish and slip of his dress. Even though he's alone, he feels the need to keep one hand over his butt to prevent his dress from riding up in the back while the other clutches the railing.

Once he finally reaches the top of the stairs, he's met by two doors. Both are identical, save for a small bronze plaque over either doorframe that features a different symbol. One features a spiral and one features an eye crossed out by an X.
