Doom Is Displeased With The Affair's Secrecy

The whiskey burned down Karla Sofen's throat. Her feet were up on the desk, and she had her smartphone out, casually texting with Sue. Her lover was telling her about her day. Something about a Mole Queen. Kids focusing too much on games, not enough on homework. Then Doctor Doom's holographic profile appeared over the corner of the desk.

"Moonstone," he said, without greeting. "Report."

"Hello to you too," she said aloud to the Latverian monarch. "I'm texting with Sue. She's telling me about her day. I think I can get her to send me some nudes."

"Your progress," Doom said. "has stalled."
