Chapter 8 by brambank brambank

What should Leanne do?

Don't fight it

Leanne decided to save her strength and see what the terrifying girl had planned. She stared fearfully as she was edged closer and closer to the antique mirror. The girl continued to drag her towards it until there was a strange sensation as Leanne's body passed through the glass.

They were in a strange, dark place. The ground beneath her feet felt hard and uneven like rock. There was hardly any light and she could make out nothing around her. Leanne realised the grip on her wrists had gone and she could no longer see the scary dark-haired terror who had brought her to this place.

Quickly Leanne turned to face the portal where they had entered. She could see the glass of the mirror and the room beyond. She stepped forwards but only slammed against the hard surface. She tried again but there was no resistance. Leanne banged frantically on the glass. Hammering with her fists but it was no use. She was trapped on the other side in this strange place with no hope of passing back through. She slumped to the uneven floor dejectedly and sobbed. Her hand placed on the glass.

A moment later she heard voices. Leanne peered up and saw two of the residents entering the room beyond the mirror. She screamed to get their attention, banging furiously on the glass. But it was no use. No matter how much noise she made, she was unable to grab their attention.

There was no way out for Leanne. The longer time past the darker her mind became to match the shadows around her. Occasionally she saw the terrible girl who'd brought her there. Floating around on the edges of the darkness. She never spoke to her. Leanne was left alone. Trapped in that place beyond the mirror forever.

The End
